Additional Note New York University – MBA in Finance I PROGRAM DESCRIPTION All Stern students graduate with an MBA in General Management and can select up to three specializations or choose not to specialize at all We offer one of the largest selections of elective courses among top business schools The variety of choices and combinations of specializations enables you to define your Langone Part-time MBA program is considered part-time study and part-time study does not provide student visa eligibility International applicants to the Full-time MBA program are encouraged to apply bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S or an equivalent degree from a foreign country If you submit your application prior to the conferral of your bachelor's degree or equivalent, we will accept and evaluate your application If an offer of admission is made, it will be contingent upon receiving your degree conferral prior to enrollment administered by Pearson VUE, or the GRE, administered by Educational Testing Services (ETS) Stern has no preference for the GMAT or GRE, feel free to take either test Additional Note Scores are valid for five years from the date that you took the test and must be valid at the time that you submit your application You are responsible for including your test score on the online application and ensuring that Pearson VUE or ETS is able to release and send your official score report to NYU Stern While an official test score is required for a final decision, the Admissions Committee can begin the review of your application with an unofficial test score If you plan to retake the GMAT or GRE after applying, you must inform the Admissions Committee of the date you intend to take the test in the optional essay or via email to admchair@stern.nyu.edu The Admissions Committee will proceed with the evaluation of your application using your submitted score and may issue a decision prior to receiving additional test scores Admitted students with Writing Assessment scores below 4.0 on either test with their highest total score will be required to take an additional business writing course prior to the start of classes NYU Stern has no minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement For applicants who took the test more than once, the Admissions Committee will consider only the test with the highest total score TOEFL or IELTS Mastery of English is required for NYU Stern Your level of proficiency in English must be demonstrated in at least one of the following three ways: Your native language is English Your undergraduate or graduate degree was taught in English Your test results from either TOEFL or the IELTS Scores are valid for two years from the date that you took the test and must be valid at the time that you submit your application You are responsible for including your TOEFL or IELTS score on the online application and ensuring that your official score report can be Stern's reporting code is 2582 Work History (separate from résumé) Resume International Student Supplement (if applicable) Essays Choosing Your Endorsers  You are required to submit two EQ Endorsements with your application  One EQ Endorsement must come from your current supervisor If you cannot include an endorsement from your current supervisor, you must provide an explanation in the online application  The second EQ Endorsement may come from someone who knows you professionally and/or personally  EQ Endorsements should come from individuals who can objectively assess your potential for success in NYU Stern's MBA program and in your future career, and who can act as a persuasive advocate of your EQ strengths  Immediate family members should not write your EQ endorsement  Submitting more than two EQ endorsements is not encouraged but is allowed Please carefully consider whether additional endorsements add Additional Note  significant value and a new and unique perspective to your application EQ Endorsement Questions Your endorsers will be asked to rate you on a number of abilities and qualities, as well as provide an answer to these five questions:  Please provide a brief description of your interaction with the applicant and, if applicable, the applicant's role in your organization  How does the applicant's performance compare to that of other wellqualified individuals in similar roles (if applicable)? Please provide specific examples (E.g what are the applicant's principal strengths?)  Describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant Please detail the circumstances and the applicant's response  IQ+EQ is a core value of NYU Stern, and we seek exceptional individuals who possess both intellectual and interpersonal strengths Emotional intelligence (EQ) skills such as self-awareness, empathy, communication and self-management are at the core of our community of leaders Please provide one specific and compelling example to demonstrate the applicant's emotional intelligence  (Optional) Is there anything else we should know? How will the MBA help you achieve them? Essay 2: Personal Expression (a.k.a "Pick Six") Describe yourself to the Admissions Committee and to your future classmates using six images and corresponding captions Your uploaded PDF should contain all of the following elements:  A brief introduction or overview of your "Pick Six" (no more than sentences)  Six images that help illustrate who you are  A one-sentence caption for each of the six images that helps explain why they were selected and are significant to you Note: Your visuals may include photos, infographics, drawings, or any other images that best describe you Your document must any time on your application status page Your application status page indicates any missing application requirements, and you are able to upload outstanding or supplemental materials directly to this are available by invitation only You will be able to schedule your interview via your application status page Interviews are conducted in person in New York City Interviews are typically Additional Note conducted by our trained admissions professionals, who will have thoroughly read your entire application Off-Site Interviews For priority consideration for off-site interviews, apply by the first deadline for your primary program of interest We typically conduct off-site interviews in China, India and the United Kingdom in March, but the locations and timing are subject to change each year Alumni/Phone Interview Requests Alumni or phone interview requests are almost never granted and should be requested only under extreme circumstances We expect you to interview in person in New York City with the Admissions Committee or at one of our designated off-site interview locations Post-Interview Decision After the interview, it will typically take up to three weeks to receive a
