Knowledge and understanding: By the end of our program graduate should be able to summarize the role of cancer in population health and illness Appreciate the significance of cancer as a health problem in Egypt and throughout the world By the end of the programme, graduate should be able to: KU1- Describe the basic theories and principles update regarding cancer diagnosis, management; follow up, screening and prevention KU2- Recognize the ethical and legal principles of cancer practice KU3- Recognize the principles of quality assurance in radio-chemotherapy practice Zagazig University ethics of cancer research KU8- Define his role in community development and environmental safety B- Intellectual skills By the end of the program, graduates should be able to: IS1- Analyzes the cancer problems IS2- Solve common medical problems related to cancer IS3- Analyze related cancer topics in medical journals for researchers in cancer IS4- Evaluate risks in cancer management practice IS5-Take medical dissension according to available information in particular cancer IS6- Prepare medical research about specified cancer problem (thesis) IS7- Plane to guide progress in the field of Clinical Oncology through updating therapeutic guide lines in the hot topics designing cancer control program C- Professional/practical skills By the end of the programme, students should be able to: PS1-Coordinate clinical data of a given case in provisional sheet, develop a management plane for clinical case PS2-Report a planning sheet of radiation therapy PS3- Comment on, and interpret common investigation reports related to specialty PS4- Construct a referring medical report about clinical case, reflecting its diagnosis and management plane, and respecting medico legal aspects Zagazig London 1- Purpose of the Curriculum The purpose of this curriculum is to define the process of training and the competencies needed for the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in University Covered by our aim Entry Requirements and Training IS1 – IS5 Pathway 100% 80% The curriculum is defined for each phase of training for the benefit of the trainee, the trainers and those responsible for the organization and quality assessment of training Training objectives and methods of assessment are identified for: • An introduction to clinical oncology that should be completed during the first six months • Management of oncology emergencies that should be completed during the first 12 months of training, i.e by the end of ST3 • Underpinning sciences modules including some learning outcomes related to research that should be completed by the end of ST4 • Tumor site – specific training including learning outcomes related to general clinical and communication skills, and research The stage of training by which these should be achieved is documented for each tumor site • Other professional areas (‘Common Competencies’) including clinical governance, audit, education, ethics, law, team working, management and leadership The stage of training at which the trainee should achieve specific learning outcomes within these areas is stated Royal Colleges of Radiologists
