Bare Rods for TIG Welding of Stainless Steel AWS A5.9: ER308L Low carbon 19Cr/10Ni type filler rod recommended for TIG and oxy-acetylene welding of 304 and 304L stainless steels. Applications include welding of stainless steels of similar composition in dairies, power, chemical and fertiliser plants, etc. where relatively mild corrosive attack can be expected. AWS A5.9: ER309L Low carbon 24Cr/13Ni type filler rod recommended for TIG and oxy-acetylene welding of 309 and 309L stainless steels. Also suitable for joining dissimilar steels such as stainless steel to mild or low alloy steels and for stainless surfacing of mild steel, carbon and low alloy steels. AWS A5.9: ER316L Low carbon 19Cr/12Ni/2.5Mo type filler rod recommended for TIG or oxy-acetylene welding of 316 and 316L stainless steels. Recommended for general purpose welding of common 300 series stainless steels such as 302, 304 and 304L and ferritic stainless alloys including 410 and 430. AWS A5.9: ER347Si Niobium stabilised 19Cr/9Ni type filler rod recommended for TIG and oxy-acetylene welding. Recommended for welding of stabilised stainless steels containing niobium or titanium such as 347 and 321. Also suitable for welding non-stabilised types 301, 302, 304 and 308 .
