Signature Date: 18/12/2017 LUONG HOANG TRANG Page Perface Human resource always is a problem that any business that needs attention A business that wants to survive and grow largely depend on the ability to exploit and use effectively the resources: financial, physical facilities, intangible assets, technology, people etc these factors have intimate relationships with one another and mutural impact together In which humans are one of the indispensable resources and the most important of the business People are the elements that constitute business organization, business operation and decide the success or failure of the business Factors such as: machinery, material goods, technology can be acquired, learned, copied, but humans can not On the other hand, the management of other resources will not be effective without good management of human resources, because finally the management activities are done by humans So it can be confirmed that human resource has a vital role for the survival and development of enterprises Aware of the complexity and the importance of human resources in every company in the world and Vietnam, so I decided on the topic "Understanding human resources at Century Group Joint Stock Company - CENGROUP in Ho chi Minh city" to post reflection report This thesis aims to analyze the current status of human resources at Century Group Joint Stock Company - CENGROUP and Advantages and Disadvantage of Human Resource at CENGROUP, from which to draw the experience precious lessons, to help yourself in the future and can apply the theory was taught Bachelor Of Business Administration And E-Business Management program as prescribed by XXX An intern has to prepare reflection report at the end of the internship period but the main objective of the internship is to get the hands-on experience of the real world organization The internship was completed with the objective of getting practical knowledge in the CEN saigon real estate trading floor - S5 of CENGROUP The first responsibility I was assigned on this twenty - two week of internship period was to assist the business staff Secondly, as an intern, I realized that I was successful to gather a lot of significant learning experiences which would be helpful in my future career The HR department and Business department of CENGROUP offered me ample space and opportunities, not only to learn but also to exhibit my skills as a member of Cengroup I could use my theoretical knowledge of Business Administration And E-Business Management in real practice while participating in many discussions I was actively involved in the department meetings where I shared my knowledge and views regarding the performance in CENGROUP I also attempted to gather more information on basic job functions of other departments to have better understanding of the relation between them It was commendable to see how wholeheartedly they welcomed, acknowledged and appreciated new ideas and knowledge I have provided few recommendations based upon my understanding and knowledge I successfully completed all the assigned duties and handed them over to the senior supervisor at the end of the internship I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges that came along every single day I could also bring some minor improvisation during my internship which were able to leave their marks These lessons that Joint Stock Company (CENGROUP) CENGROUP was established October 15, 2002 by Decision No 0103000476 by Department of Planning and Investment of Hanoi issued on 8.20.2001 with the function: investments, mining, consulting , leasing, brokerage, marketing and real estate valuation Initial membership is company property with Century official staff and 10 collaborators at 82 Office Nguyen Chi Thanh After 15 years of operation, now CENGROUP has subsidiaries, a business system includes real estate trading in Hanoi, HO CHI MINH CITY HCM and the affiliated Centre along the branch offices across the country, serving the needs of customers and become the leading property business in Vietnam CENGROUP there are more than 60,000 customers; more than 2,500 staff members formally along thousands of collaborators, providing real estate services in diverse fields: Investment, REAL ESTATE investment and development cooperation -Distribution and marketing professional REAL ESTATE -Media consultant company Century real estate investment & development joint stock company Century real estate plus service joint stock company – Cenplus 1.3 Position of CENGROUP in Vietnam CENGROUP is currently a member of the associations (entitled by the certificates) - Vietnam Real Estate Association - Vietnam Valuation Association - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) - Hanoi Young Business Association - Founding member of Vietnam's property trading floor network - Hanoi Real Estate Club Associated with the development process of CENGROUP are the facts and the way business breakthrough, a pioneer in the field of business property, such as: - Be the first enterprise in Hanoi to buy the right franchise from real estate corporations leading the US (conglomerate Cendant) - Be the first company to offer free services to the client brokerage Real estate leasing CENGROUP always wanted and constantly rise to become a powerful organization in the field of real estate business in Vietnam 1.4 System of real estate trading floors (STDA ) Currently CENGROUP owns a special system of real estate trading floors - Real Estate Project Supermarket System STDA STDA has professional staff, salesmen and market researchers with excellent facilities, etc to serve the customers needs to learn, purchase and trade real estate Page Xxx Reflection Report September 2017 From the year 2015 when the distribution unit is leading the Top 10 transaction, in typical 2016 STDA continue to take advantage of the network of nationwide REAL ESTATE shopping cart the same "Giants" to bring more impressive figures Specifically, the year 2016, reaching STDA 9,796 successful trading across the country The total value of transactions via the STDA in year of about 24,500 billion Vietnamese Dong, the total revenue of the country reached 800 billion Vietnamese Dong (75% as revenue from services, 25% from the plate REAL ESTATE business) In the year 2016 STDA is distributor of prestige are many great options like owner: Sun Group, BIM Group, Vimefulland, Gamuda Land Vietnam, FLC Group, Hung Vuong Corp, Geleximco group, CenInvest, In particular, the year 2016 also marks the presence of STDA nationwide with offices throughout the province into Hanoi, HO CHI MINH CITY Da Nang, Ha Long (Quang Ninh) with a strong team, professional STDA currently has nearly 3,000 consultants and thousands real estate in Ho chi Minh city In 2015 is considered the year of macroeconomic have prospered, leading to the strong recovery of the real estate market According to statistics from the Department of management and the real estate market in Vietnam, in 2015 the new established businesses in the real estate sector soared, up to 78.7% compared with the same period a year ago The staff at the company also increased 2-3 times in comparison with the year 2014 The strong increase in demand for real estate industry personnel affecting the quality of the staff have the expertise and knowledge of the market in the sector, However, the property personnel quality is not high because this trades training facility is missing, weak The training course also bring heavy theoretical, far left Not to mention, many training establishments not in fact, the employees just subscription, payment received The other angle, the amount of formal training personnel every year out of school very little, not enough to provide the needs of personnel from other sectors when moving horizontally Meanwhile, the real estate broker is a specialized profession, requiring people who not have general knowledge about the industries, sectors, law, social knowledge and soft skills Above all in addition to the knowledge learned, the broker members have to regularly hone ourselves In fact, basically the human resource for the real estate industry in our country has huge potential when the age from 20 to 35 accounted for over 50% of the total number of people in the working age Especially the new qualified human resources, especially new graduatesl groups constitute the dominant role They are also very young, aggressive, talented and trained intensively Just been facilitating business, talent will the real estate industry in 2016 is not uniform, with all the 34000 employees working in the real estate companies in Ho Chi Minh city but males have to 20000 emplyees The real estate sales in Ho Chi minh city attract to males because Males have more advancement opportunities,stand pressure and danger of more trades, this profession face a lot of difficulties and challenges Often in the industry very little, when customers look to broker which on the contrary, they must radiate away everywhere, using all methods to reach those customers that needs attention to real estate Page 11 Xxx Reflection Report September 2017 2.2 Overview of the human resource in Century Group Joint Stock Company - CENGROUP in Ho chi Minh city Statistics on the gender, education level and age of the 350 forces of the CEN GROUP group are mainly new graduates mostly males, the experience has not accounted for 80% of human resources of the company but the majority are all graduated from the school in which the University and colleges accounted for 28%- 72% respectively CENGROUP always recruit employees with higher education levels so their lack of experience in the industry However, the company always facilitate support for employees of specialized courses on soft skills and expertise in professional, always closely on the ability of each employee to find out the pros and cons of staff to take measures to effect reasonable adjustments to enhance the professional qualifications and skills of each employee 2.3 Analysis of advantages and disadvantages about the human resources of CENGROUP in Ho Chi Minh city: Page 12 Xxx Reflection Report September 2017 2.3.1 Advantages: From these surveys, statistics of the HR, it can be seen that the managers in the company are the ones who have the qualifications and professional capacities Always give the correct policy to help the company constantly develop and come up In addition, most of the company's employees are young workers are able to work fast, dynamic, passionate, high morale, not afraid of difficulties, challenges Besides the employees always have access to technical training courses of specialization, the necessary skills to be able to adapt the work and integrate with the company quickly, forming a solid foundation for the company 2.3.2 Disadvantages: The majority of the employees are young should not have seasoned experience, yet are well equipped with the skills to work as independent working skills, teamwork, problem-solving skills, time management , ect , no patience, progressive, easy change work when other places offer higher wages and the ability to promote more quickly, does not determine the commitment with the company the personnel is not yet evenly on the education level and gender also influence to the company, can easily cause the phenomenon of shifting responsibility when there are many jobs that require precision, meticulous , highly specialized staff is not enough to complete satisfying In addition to the new staff with no experience to spend time and money to train from the beginning When they thought the bird back to retrain an employee to another, causing loss of time as well as affects everyone around to harmony and new employee guidelines Page 13 Xxx Reflection Report September 2017 CHAPTER 3: Comparison of critical on theory and the experience during the practice trainning The practical trainning semester was a truly rewarding experience I encountered with real lifeactivities and also received the opportunity to perform in those activities My knowledge of Business Administration And E-Business Management was helpful to add new perspective while we gathered for department meetings I witnessed the execution of all the functions in real life however I only had the theoretical knowledge about them which answered many "whys" of mine And this experience has given me a rare opportunity to take a closer look at a workplace and understand the differences between the classroom knowledge and real corporate world Naturally, in a country like ours, we certainly have a big gap between the bookish knowledge and the one earned from experience It is extremely difficult for those to understand the real world without any prior working experience Our curriculum has provided us with an extremely relevant academic knowledge All the academic learning may have not been applied in practice, I could still see the need of its implementation and how it could bring about positive changes to the CENGROUP A Organizational Behavior Organizational Behavior (OB) is the study and application of knowledge about how people, individuals, and groups act in organizations It interprets people-organization relationships in terms of the whole person, whole group, whole organization, and whole social system Its purpose is to build better relationships by achieving human objectives organizational objectives, and social objectives My previous work experiences had prepared me well to fit in an organization and understand their organizational cultures So, I was prepared and started performing the very day I joined as it didn’t take me too long to understand my responsibilities I was impressed by the nice, welcoming ambience and even more with the friendly behavior of the coordinators which demonstrated that Cen saigon real estate trading floor - S5 of CENGROUP was successful in keeping a stress free working environment They explained and fully assisted me to learn the information of the projects, the communication skills with customers They were very patient with me; I needed to improvise because of which I made almost mistakes at all Sale Manager was very motivating and appreciative My ideas, efforts and work were always Page 14 Xxx Reflection Report September 2017 acknowledged and appreciated I was able to make an impression on the sale seniors by my technological knowledge which at times solved even some of the complex problems B Managerial Communication Effective communication is one of the key components of business department in any organization,especially the real estate And it becomes particularly more important for a real estate trading floor to have a good communication between the Sale manager and the real estate staff will bepassed down the line in the form of good communication between the staff and the customers Also, it brings a more open and professionally relaxing working environment transforming employees into loyal and more competent staff members Making sure that staff has all the 'tools of their trade' to their job to the highest standards is however a two-way thing employees have to communicate clearly and on time what they need, and management should listen and make sure they are well informed of all their staff's requirements and needs So, if this exists in a workplace, then it creates a positive atmosphere and both the ends can communicate with each other with clarity perfectly which will encourage staff to give their best and always a little extra than they are capable of I truly appreciate the support I received from my college throughout the practical training semester I was put in a constant touch with the college supervisor and was observing closely all my activities which encouraged me to put more hard work every day, as I mentioned earlier, it did reflect in my duties which got noticed by the seniors of the CENGROUP And working in diverse and multicultural environment had me an opportunity to utilize and improvise my communication skills by interacting with employees of various hierarchy, nationality and cultural background In conclusion, I am able to state that this internship program gave me a platform to apply my theoretical knowledge in practical life And this practical implementation of my academic knowledge has helped me to understand the complexities, challenges and prospects that lie in a real corporate world Much as I enjoyed my twenty-two weeks term, I certainly did learn a lot from each day of work and everyone I had a chance to interact with Page 15 Xxx Reflection Report September 2017 CONCLUSION It was an absolute worthwhile experience working at the Century Group Joint Stock Company - CENGROUP The friendly welcoming staff and the space they have created for intern allowed me with ample opportunities to learn and know myself as a worker This experience brought out my strength and also the areas I needed to improvise It added more confidence to my professional approach, built a stronger positive attitude and taught me how to work in team as a member The primary objective of an internship is to gather a real life working experience and put their theoretical knowledge in practice I am grateful to the entire team of Cen saigon real estate trading floor - S5 of CENGROUP for their unprecedented support to make my working experience truly rewarding Especially working in this department made me realize my competencies and level of understanding regarding the sale, marketing, human resource, team work On completion of this practical training semester, I came to know about the importance of human resources and the role of human resource in an organization As an intern, though I had a limited space to work, I still managed to grab plentiful of experiences I made the best of every opportunity I was given and made the utmost use of my abilities and knowledge to fulfill all my responsibilities I could implement my academic skills into practice and my efforts were highly acknowledged There is however some gap between our theoretical knowledge and real life practice, yet the managerial level staff members is quite open towards upgrading current approach, which was extremely motivating
