PHDINECONOMIC,ACCOUNTINGORBUSINESSHISTORY TheaimofaPhDcourseofstudyistodevelopastudent’sresearchskillsandprovideanenhanced understandingofhistoricaltrends,withaviewtocareerenhancement.APhDcanbeundertakeneither asafulltimecourseofstudy(overthreeorfouryears)orparttime(overfive tosixyears0.ThePhD involvesindependentresearchwhichisundertakenundertheguidanceofoneormoresupervisors. NewZealandPhDsfollowtheBritishmodelofbeingawardedonthethesisalong;thethesiswillbe 100,000wordsandmustmakeasignificantandoriginalcontributiontothediscipline.
