5.1 Kết luận
Ở điều kiện 23 °C, 4m độ 65%, nguồn thức ăn mật ong 30% là phù hợp đối với ong D. insulare. Ong cái có thé sống trung bình 15,1 ngày và ong đực là 11,3
ngày.
Ong D. insulare có khả năng ký sinh cao trong điều kiện nhân nuôi trong phòng thí nghiệm. Sâu tơ 4 ngày tuổi là phù hợp nhất để ong ký sinh. Tý lệ ký sinh của một ong cái đạt cao nhất là 71 + 0,3%. Tỷ lệ giữa ong ký sinh và sâu ký chủ ở mức 3/50 sẽ cho hiệu quả ký sinh cao nhất là 66,8%.
Với tỷ lệ ong cái vũ hóa rất thấp, chỉ khoảng 16,1 + 0,9%, do đó, khó nhân
nuôi D. insulare trong điều kiện phòng thí nghiệm.
Loài ong D. insulare không phù hợp với điều kiện tự nhiên vùng đồng bằng Nam bộ Việt Nam do hiệu quả phóng thích của ong D. insulare rat kém và có ký
sinh bậc hai.
5.2 Đề nghị
Không phát triển ong ký sinh D. insulare tại Việt Nam do tỷ lệ ong cái thấp và có nhiều ký sinh bậc hai.
