Using authentic materials

Because of requirement of letter writing, using authentic writing materials that help them acquire better the form of writing, as well as expand their knowledge. They will have a habit of using the appropriate style adapted with academic writing. For example, they have to use the full form of words instead of contracted forms such as can’t, I’ll, don’t. Teachers should give to students some of book titles to help them easily learn and save time to select. Authentic materials are considered as a useful means to motivate learners and bring learners into direct contact with a reality level of English.

Enhancing reading to develop better writing and enrich vocabulary

Reading is the extremely supportive activity for writing. Indeed, the more they read, the fewer mistakes they made. Reading has a power which helps the writer develop comprehensively from imagination, sentence structures, grammar as well as vocabulary - the core of all skills. Students who spent time writing every day or 4- 5 times/ week will have better writing skills. It means that they will be familiar with form, structures and theme vocabulary quicker than who do not. Additionally, regular writing not only maintains and expands vocabulary but also boosts quick critical thinking for writing. In other words, writing combining with reading routinely and repeatedly will assist the writer to memorize vocabulary easily and build up good reactions to the familiar topic.

Joining an English forum/ blog to consult writing

Taking part in an English forum is one of the fastest ways to require for inquiry.

In the era of technology, students can get their answer in a short time. Furthermore, they can also not only post their writing on there to get feedback but give feedback to others as well. It can be said that it will be a form of peer feedback for them to practice.

In addition, joining a forum will be an opportunity for those who love English to share books, documents, and other English sources. Because of the enormous power of the group, it is believed that English competency in general and writing skills, in particular, will make considerable improvement as an English idiom "Together we

Summary:

In short, this chapter is not only the important part but also an interesting one of this research. It provides information and gives clear analysis on some aspects of peer feedback in letter writing. From both questionnaire and interview, the study explored the perceptions of students on peer feedback, classified their difficulties when they gave peer feedback and proposed possible solutions that might support them. What is more, to understand deeply about student’s obstacles, the study stated possible reasons behind those difficulties; as a result, possible recommendations for improving writing skills in general are suggested with the hope that students can be aware of the importance of writing as well as English to have learning motivation and try their best.
