About This Course
This section provides you with a brief description of the course, audience,
suggested prerequisites, and course objectives.
Description
Course 1572A provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to
install and configure Exchange2000. This course provides a significant amount
of hands-on labs that allow students to become proficient in the skills needed to
deploy and manage Exchange2000. This 5-day instructor-lead course also
provides prerequisite knowledge and skills required for course 1573, Designing
Microsoft Exchange2000 for the Enterprise
.
Audience
This course is intended for IT professionals who will implement and
manage Exchange2000. Candidates for this course operate in medium to
very large computing environments, that typically have multiple physical

connectivity. The administrator typically performs day-to-day Exchange
2000 operations, and understands the ramifications of changes to Exchange
2000Server configurations. Some common tasks for this role include
implementing the design and deployment plan, installing servers, creating
administrative and routing groups, setting permissions on Public Folders,
creating policies, mail-enabling users, and resetting passwords.
