D E B O T S R COLO NOW TURN THE PAGE TO READ BLIPPI’S BEDTIME STORY 31 READ A STORYWITH THE DAY TRIP Blippi woke up excited! He couldn’t help it Today, was the day he was going to the seaside He jumped out of bed and got dressed as fast as he possibly could Blippi raced downstairs and made himself a tasty picnic of all his favourite things, a cheese sandwich, (His real favourite, pizza was never good as a packed lunch!), an apple, some strawberries and a carrot cut into long slices He thought that would be plenty as he couldn’t wait to have an ice cream when he got to the beach Once he was completely ready, Blippi made his way to the train station ‘I’m so excited,’ he thought ‘This really is going to be such an adventure.’ Blippi’s train was on time, so he hopped on the nearest carriage and settled down to enjoy the journey As the train flew through the countryside, Blippi’s excitement grew, and grew, and grew T! O H ! T O H HOT! Before he knew it, Blippi arrived at the sea side He wanted his ice cream, ‘not now, let’s explore,’ he thought Blippi raced onto the sand ‘Wow!’ ‘Hot, hot, hot!’ He jumped up and down There was only one thing to Blippi dropped his bag, laid out his stripy towel (orange and blue, of course) and raced as fast as he could into the sea ‘Wow!’ ‘Cold, cold, cold!’ The water was freezing compared to the hot sand He raced out as fast as he’d gone in But Blippi really wa nted to go in the water, he loved jumping in the big wa ves and he loved swimming COLD! COLD! C OLD ! ‘Wow!’ ‘Cold, Cold, Cold!’ Blippi jumped back in the water ‘This is so much fun!’ The sun shone all day Blippi had the best time He played with his beach bal l, he explored the cove looking for fossils, he built the biggest sandcastle he had ever seen and at last he got to have his ice cream ‘I love ice cream’ said Blippi, as he ate the icy trea t Finally, the sun started setting and Blippi had to drag himself off the beach and back to the trai n station for his journey home Blippi was sad, he didn’t want to leave his awesome sandcastle behind ‘I will just have to come back another day and build another one.’ he decided With that, he hopped on the train and with a very happy sigh, thought to himself ‘I have had the best day ever!’ THE END 33 MAKE YOUR OWN BLIPPI BADGES YOU WILL NEED: SCISSORS SAFETY PIN STICKY TAPE LET’S TRY!
