(1)Period 30: UNIT 6: An excursion Date of preparing: Date of teaching: Lesson 1: reading Class Total Absent Ss 10A1 10A2 10A3 10A7 10A8 I, Objectives: Knowledge: Students get information about some famous places in Viet Nam Lexical items: Sentences and expression for describing some beauty spots Words related to famous places in Viet Nam Skill: Reading for gist and for specific information about an excursion II Preparation - Teacher’s preparation: lesson plan, textbook, large pictures about Thien Mu pagoda, Ha Long Bay, Da Lat - Student’s preparation: Student’s book, notebook, pen III, Procedure: Teacher's activities Students' activities Warm-up :(5 minutes) - Hang large pictures of reading part on the board and give a list of famous places in Match the photos with the Viet Nam, such as: information on the board + Thien Mu pagoda + Ha Long Bay + The one-pillar pagoda + Valley of Love - Ask the students to match the photos with the information on the board Pre-reading: (7 minutes) - Ask students some questions: Have you ever visited Thien Mu Pagoda? Yes, I have Is it beautiful? Yes, it is Have you ever visited Ha Long Bay? Yes, I have Where is it?
