INVERSION

Đảo ngữ dùng để nhấn mạnh hành động chủ ngữ, dùng mục đíc tu từ Đảo ngữ thường có trường hợp: Đảo trợ động từ lên trước chủ ngữ; Đảo động từ lên trước chủ ngữ.

I/ Đảo ngữ câu có chứa trạng từ phủ định, sổ cụm từ đứng đầu sau : Đảo trợ động từ lên trước chủ ngữ:

Not, Never (= At no time), Seldom, Little, Barely, Nor, In/ Under no circumstances (Dù hồn cảnh khơng),

On no account (Dù lý khơng), Only in this way (Chỉ cách này), In no way (Khơng có thể), By no means (Hồn tồn không)

No sooner … than…., Hardly … when …., Scarcely … when …., Not only … but also … Not until …., Only after/ with/ in/ at…, Only when …, Only then …., Only if …

Only by + Noun/ V- ing …, So … , Such… , Trạng từ tần suất …., Tính từ……, Much……., Many ………, Câu điều kiện, ……

1, Đối với cụm từ : No sooner … than…., Hardly … when …., Scarcely … when ….: Câu đảo ngữ chứa cụm trạng ngữ thường dùng để diễn đạt chuỗi kiện xãy khứ Động từ vế trước thường chia q khứ hồn thành, động từ vế sau khứ đơn Và đảo ngữ diễn vế trước

e.g: Scarcely had I got out out of bed when the doorbell rang No sooner had he finished dinner than she walked in the door

2, Đối với nhóm từ kết hợp sau “Only” như: only after/ by/ …. Nếu câu có mệnh đề đảo ngữ diễn bình thường Nếu câu có mệnh đề dùng đảo ngữ mệnh đề thứ

e.g: Only then did I understand the problem

Only by hard work will we be able to accomplish this great task Only by studying hard can you pass this exam

Only when you grow up can you understand it Only if you tell me the truth, can I forgive you

a/ Câu đảo ngữ có chúa “So” mang cấu trúc sau: So + tính tù + to be + Danh từ …

3 Câu đảo ngữ có chúa “Not only … but also ….” có cấu trúc sau: Not only + trợ động từ + S + V + but also + S + V …

a/ Câu điều kiện loại 1: Should thay cho If

Should + S + V(bare) , S + will/ can + V … e.g: If I see her today, I will send her your message
