EXPRESSING AGREEMENT AND DISAGREEMENT

I Objectives

By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to:

- Express their agreement and disagreement about entertainment activities - State the reasons to support their agreement and disagreement

- Feel more confident when expressing agreement and disagreement

WARM UP

- Divide class into big groups Group has to find all pictures showing agreement and the other has to find all pictures showing disagreement

- Hang pictures on the board

- Work in groups

- Help their member to find the pictures

- Go to the board and categorize pictures * Suggested answers Agreement: pictures 2,4,6

- Lead to the lesson: In the daily life, there are a lot of ways to express people’s agreement and disagreement They can use some gestures like in the pictures But, the common way is using some

expressions To help you know what these expressions are and how to use them, today we are going to learn lesson 2: EXPRESSING AGREEMENT AND DISAGREEMENT

Decide whether the sentences are expressions of agreement or disagreement.

- Ask ss to work in pairs, read the

expressions in the book on page 157 and decide whether they are expressions of agreement or disagreement

- Call some ss to answer

- Check the answers with the whole class - Give correct answers

- Collect more expressions of agreement and disagreement from ss

- Give some more expressions on a sub-board

In our group, B and E disagree to go camping because we have to eat bread for two days, which is not very pleasant and have to sleep in a tent, the weather might be bad However, A, C and D agree to go camping because we can enjoy spectacular scenery, can have a lot of outdoor activities and can become more active So, our group decides to go camping
