At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- recognize and pronounce correctly the letter Ii, its sound (i), and words starting with the letter I (ink, inkpot )

- recognize the letter Ii, its sound, words ink, inkpot in the chant - write correctly the capital and small letter Ii

- Ask students to listen “The alphabet song” and sing along

“We will learn letter I today.”

- Say “Now let’s see what letter it is.” - Play the software, click on letter I and ask students to listen twice

- Ask students to listen and repeat as a class, in groups, and individually

- Instruct students to the shape of letter I Then ask each team to stand up, the shape of letter I and say it out

- Read aloud the sound of letter with gesture

Presentation 01

- Ask students “What is the sound of I?” - Say “Now listen only”

- Click on sound “Ii” on the software, then ask students to listen twice

Practice 03

- Ask the students to listen and repeat as a class, in groups, and individually

- Instruct students to the actions for sound

“i” Then ask each team to stand up, the actions of sound “i” and say it out

- Read aloud the sound of letter with gesture

- Say “Now, we’re going to learn words beginning with the letter I.”

- Say “Now listen only”

- Click on words “ink, inkpot” on the software, then ask students to listen twice

- Ask the whole class to listen and repeat twice

- Ask each team to stand up and repeat once - Ask each student of a team to stand up and say once

- Instruct students to the actions for “duck and donkey” Then ask each team to stand up, the actions for “duck and donkey”

- Read aloud the words with gesture

* Game: Missing card

- Ask students to read cards (I, i, ink, inkpot) on the board

- When students close their eyes, teacher takes one card away Students open their eyes and speak out the missing card

Presentation 02

- Introduce the chant

- Ask students to listen to the chant and observe teacher doing gestures

- Ask students to listen again, catch the language items they’ve learnt and actions - Let students listen to the chant twice

- Ask students to chant sentence by sentence without music to remember the chant - Mute the sound, have students look at the lyrics on the screen and chant along

- Play the music, ask students to chant along the music and gesture
