2 Trace the letters

- Review the previous letter I, sound i, ink,

inkpot and introduce new lesson

- Say “Today, we learn how to trace letter Ii”.

- Listen to teacher’s question

- Play the software, click on the sound track and ask students to listen and look twice - Ask students “How many strokes does the letter I have?”

- Help students to remember the number of strokes of letter I and sound i

- Ask students to look and write the letters in the air

- Ask students “Where are your fingers?” + say “one”, students write the first

stroke

- Ask students to write the letters on the palm, or on their friend's back

- Invite some students to come to the board and use their body parts (arm, leg, bottom, and head, whole body) to write letter Ii

- Teacher asks students to pair up, usually with their table-mate

- One student will speak a sound such as i/h/g/d, and other students must give a word including that sound
