Cách thành lập: a Đối với động từ TOBE

CÁCH SỬ DỤNG CỦA THÌ QUÁ KHỨ ĐƠN:

Dùng để diễn tả hành động xảy kết thúc khứ. í dụ

- They went to the concert last night (Họ tới rạp hát tối hôm qua.) - The plane took off two hours ago (Máy bay cất cánh cách giờ.)

Thì khứ đơn dùng với khoảng thời gian bắt đầu dừng lại khứ Khoảng thời gian thường diễn tả cụm từ for two years, for five minutes, all day, all year, etc

í dụ *They sat at the beach all day

*They did not stay at the party the entire time

 We talked on the phone for thirty minutes (to talk)

* CÁCH CHIA ĐỘNG TỪ Ở QUÁ KHỨ: 1 Ta thêm “-ed” vào sau động từ:

- Thông thường ta thêm “ed” vào sau động từ

Ví du: watch – watched turn – turned want – wanted * Chú ý thêm đuôi -ed vào sau động từ

+ Động từ tận “e” -> ta cần cộng thêm “d”.

í dụ type – typed smile – smiled agree – agreed

+ Động từ có MỘT âm tiết, tận MỘT phụ âm, trước phụ âm MỘT nguyên âm -> ta nhân đôi phụ âm cuối thêm “-ed”.

í dụ stop – stopped shop – shopped tap – tapped

NGOẠI LỆ: commit – committed travel – travelled prefer - preferred + Động từ tận “y”:

- Nếu trước “y” là MỘT nguyên âm (a,e,i,o,u) ta cộng thêm “ed”. í dụ play – played stay - stayed

- Nếu trước “y” là phụ âm (còn lại ta đổi “y” thành “i + ed”. í dụ study – studied cry - cried

2 Một số động từ bất qui tắc khơng thêm “ed”.

Có số động từ sử dụng q khứ khơng theo qui tắc thêm “ed”. Những động từ ta cần học thuộc (xem bảng động từ bất qui tắc cuối sách)

- Cách phát âm ED: Một số tính từ có chữ tận –ed, số trạng từ

tận –edly, -ed phát âm /id/ Adjectives:

/id/ - crooked /ˈkrʊkɪd/: xoắn, cong, (hành động) không hợp pháp - naked /ˈneɪkɪd/: trần, trần trụi (đen,bóng

- learned/ˈləːnɪd/: có học thức, uyên bác - wicked/ˈwɪkɪd/:xấu, hư, ác độc

- ragged/ˈraɡɪd/: tả tơi, rách rưới - wretched/ˈrɛtʃɪd/: khốn khổ, thảm hại - rugged/ˈrʌɡɪd/ gồ ghề * Chú ý:

Đuôi “-ed” động từ sau sử dụng tính từ phát âm

- Aged: BrE /eɪdʒd/; NAmE /eɪdʒd/già đi, có tuổi

2)Imperatives (Câu mệnh lệnh):

Câu mệnh lệnh tiếng Anh

Câu mệnh lệnh hay cịn gọi câu cầu khiến mang tính chất sai khiến, yêu cầu lệnh cho người khác Thông thường câu theo sau từ “please” Chủ ngữ câu mệnh lệnh ngầm hiểu you Luôn dùng dạng thức nguyên thể (khơng có to) động từ câu mệnh lệnh Có loại câu mệnh lệnh sau:

Dạng khẳng định: V + adv/prep/NP Ví dụ:

Dạng thức gián tiếp thường dùng với to order/ ask/ say/ tell sb (not) to smt John asked Jill to turn off the light

3 Dạng thức phủ định câu mệnh lệnh: Don’t + V + adv/prep/NP Ví dụ

Don’t move! Or I’ll shoot (Đứng im, không tao bắn Don’t turn off the light when you go out
