Tính từ ghép thuờng có trọng âm chính nhấn vào từ thứ 1, nhng nếu tính từ ghép mà từ đầu tiên là tính từ hay trạng từ (Adjective or adverb) hoặc kết thúc bằng đuôi - ED thì trọng âm chí[r]
(1)Qui tắc đánh dấu trọng âm
1 Đa số động từ âm tiết trọng âm nhấn vào âm tiết thứ : Example :

4 Tính từ ghép thuờng có trọng âm nhấn vào từ thứ 1, nhng tính từ ghép mà từ tính từ hay trạng từ (Adjective or adverb) kết thúc - ED trọng âm lại nhấn từ thứ Tuơng tự động từ ghép trạng từ ghép có trọng âm nhấn vào từ thứ :

8 Các từ kết thúc – ate, - cy*, -ty, -phy, -gy vần trọng âm nhấn vào từ thứ Nếu vần hoặc vần trọng âm nhấn vào vần thứ từ cuồi lên.
