Text 3: How Paper is Recycled
We use paper every day - from exercise books, worksheets, magazines and comics to food packaging and toilet paper In one year the world uses 400 million tonnes of paper That’s a lot of trees chopped down to produce our paper! That is why it is important not to waste paper and to try to recycle as much paper as we can
What is recycling?
Recycling is when a material, such as paper, is used to make something new For example, old newspapers can be used to make new toilet paper
How is paper recycled?
