PERIOD UNIT 1: A VISIT FROM A PEN PAL LESSON 1: GETTING STARTED & LISTEN AND READ I OBJECTIVES:

- Knowledge: After the lesson ss will be able to: introduce famous, beautiful and interesting places; read and understand the text about Mar yam’s visit to Ha Noi and comprehension questions; give a small talk about Mar yam’s visit and their visited places

- Vocabulary: Correspond (v), be impressed by, friendliness, mosque, peaceful atmosphere (n), keep in touch (v)

- Grammar: + Past simple tense

+ The past simple with “wish” + Used to + V

- Skills: skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing. - Attitude: To teach ss the good attitude to the subject.

- Competences: To develop students’abilities: observing, self- management, understanding/ comprehension, communication abilities, groupwork, pairwork…

II PREPARATION:

- Materials: Textbook, and lesson plan, teacher's book, workbook. - Equipment: Board, chalk and tape recorder.

Guessing
