(4)Adjectives (tính từ)
Tính từ từ dùng để miêu tả, dùng để bổ sung ý nghĩa cho danh từ đại từ (về kích cỡ, hình dáng, tuổi tác, màu sắc, v.v.)
Examples: big (to), tall (cao), young (trẻ), red (đỏ), slow (chậm), good (tốt), dangerous (nguy hiểm), careful (cẩn thận)

* Các vị trí tính từ:
- Tính từ đứng trước danh từ mà bổ sung nghĩa Examples: Lam has short hair
My teddy has a beautiful bow tie - Tính từ đứng sau động từ to be (am/ is/ are) Examples: I am tall

* Cách sử dụng tính từ việc miêu tả người vật: a - Cấu trúc miêu tả người vật với động từ to be:
Note : Ta cần chia động từ to be phù hợp với chủ ngữ: I am slim
This flower is red These flowers are red
b - Cấu trúc miêu tả có phận thể mang đặc điểm với động từ “have” Chủ ngữ + have + tính từ + danh từ
Notes:
- Ta cần chia động từ “have” “have” “has” tương ứng với chủ ngữ.
- Khi phận miêu tả hay danh từ sau “have” danh từ số ít, em cần thêm a (khi âm của tính từ sau phụ âm) an (khi âm tính từ sau ngun âm) phía trước tính từ

Ask and answer about colors (Hỏi trả lời màu sắc) a/ Chủ ngữ danh từ số danh từ không đếm được:
Question: What color + is + chủ ngữ? Answer: It is (It’s) + màu sắc Example: -What color is her hair? - It’s blonde b/ Chủ ngữ danh từ số nhiều:
Question: What color + are + chủ ngữ? Answer: They are (They’re) + màu sắc Example: -What color are her eyes? - They’re black
“Or” questions with to be (Câu hỏi lựa chọn sử dụng “or” với động từ to be) a/ Hỏi người/ vật mang đặc điểm hai đặc điểm nêu ra: Khi chủ ngữ ngơi “he/ she/ it” danh từ số hay danh từ không đếm
Question: Is + chủ ngữ + tính từ + or + tính từ 2? Answer: Chủ ngữ + is + tính từ 1/ tính từ
Examples: - Is her hair brown or blonde? - It’s brown - Is he weak or strong? - He is weak
b/ Hỏi nhiều người hay nhiều vật mang đặc điểm hai đặc điểm nêu ra: Khi chủ ngữ ngơi “you/ we/ they” danh từ số nhiều
Question: Are + chủ ngữ + tính từ + or + tính từ 2? Answer: Chủ ngữ + are + tính từ 1/ tính từ
Examples: - Are her eyes big or small? - They’re small - Are those exercises easy or difficult? - They are difficult Note: Ta thay thành phần tính từ danh từ.
