1.Knowledge - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to read Khang’s blog to understand the details; talk about different places and show directions to these in a neighbourhood

+ Vocabulary: suburbs, backyard, dislike, incredibly, beaches + Grammar:

2 Skills: Practice and develop speaking, reading skills

3.Attitude: Educate students to understand more about their neighbourhood and they will be interested in learning English more

4 Competence: Ss can talk about different places and show directions to these in a neighbourhood

Have you ever writen about your neighbourhood? What you like about your neighbourhood? What you dislike about your neighbourhood? - Ss answer freely

III.New lesson: (37 minutes)

Step 1: Pre – reading: (8 minutes) * Pre-questions

- T asks Ss to look at the picture of Khang’s neighbourhood then asks them some questions Where you think Khang’s neighbourhood?

What you think about it?

Do you like living there? Why? / Why not? - Ss think and answer freely

- T gets Ss’ ideas

Step 2: While-reading (17 minutes)

* Activity 1:Read and find the meanings of words.

- T asks Ss to scan the passage to find where the words suburbs, backyard, dislike, incredibly, beaches are in the passage

- T asks Ss to think and give the meaning of words - T helps Ss with the meanings of words

*Activity 2: Comprehension question.

- T shows the poster that have the questions in part in the text book p 44 Then T runs through

- T checks Ss’ understanding

- Ss answer the questions individually in about minutes then they compare - T gets Ss’ answers then corrects

+ Answer key:

It is in the suburbs of Da Nang City

Because it has beautiful parks and sandy beaches and fine weather They are very friendly

Because there are many modern buildings and offices in the city * Activity 3: Grids

- T draws the table on the board then runs through
