Aims and objectives : + Language Content : - To introduce the s.s some information about Hoa so that they can know more about the s.s’life in a new school far from home. - To enable the s.s to review comparative sentences. +Language Function : - To help the s.s understand the content of the lesson and tell them about their new friends. +Educational Aim : -To make the s.s aware of the importance of the friendship, especially when they live far from home. 1. Introduces vocabulary (using techniques of teaching vocabulary) Unhappy: antonym & picture of 2 people; one is happy and other is not happy. Look at her and his face. He looks happy. She looks unhappy. Different ( using example or explanation ) Hoa’s old school is small. Hoa’s new school is big. They are different. Guides them to practice the words. Gives some incomplete sentences and has them tell about Hoa. III. Controlled – practice: Has them open their books and read the text in silence.
