Objectives: - At the end of the lesson, ss can practise school activity vocab and the present progressive tense. - Skills: reading, listening and speaking * Language contents - school activity vocab: bell, recess, blindman’sbluff, catch, marbles, catch, - the present progressive tense. B. Teaching aids: Book, board, lesson plan, pictures……… C.Method: D. Content I. Organization.(1min) Class Date of teaching Absent students 7A1 7A2 II.Warm up : Bingo (5 mins) - Ask Ss to take out a piece of paper. - Ask them to write 3 subjects they like on the paper. - T reads: Music, Math, Literature, English, Physics, Geography, History, Electronics, Computer Science. - Who has 3 same subjects to what teacher said will say “Bingo”. - T: Now, take out a piece of paper. Now write 3 subjects you like best. OK? I’ll call out subjects and who has 3 same subjects to me will say loudly “Bingo”. III. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ acivities Step1. Presentation: 1. Set the scene (2 mins) T uses the picture in the book. - Where are the students?- They are at school. - What are they doing? – They are playing games. - Do you like these games?- Yes, ……… 3. Presentation text: B1.P.56 (3mins) - Let student listen to the tape. - Let ss practice. - T presents the text and then asks ss to read the text and complete the list: - run through * Grid/ Form (4 mins) give feedback and correct. • Model sentences : T: - What are they doing? Step 2 : Practice: (6 mins) Activity 1: Picture Cue Drill: (a-f ) -T shows the pictures and gets ss to asks and Answer. - run through the pictures. -T- W.C; W.C – T; H-H; Pair work. ex: S1: What is the boy doing? S2: He is reading. Activity 2: Practice listening (B2- 57) Set the scene (7 mins) - Listen to the teacher and answer the T’s questions. - Ss asks and answer in chorus and then in pairs a/ What are the boys and girls doing? - The boys are chatting and the girls are skipping rope. b/ What are these students doing? - They are eating and drinking. c/ What are the boys doing? - They are playing marbles. d/ What are these students doing? - They are playing blind man’s bluff. e/ What are the two boys doing? - They are playing catch. f/ What are these students doing? - They are reading a book. - Ss writes the activities of the people in the pictures on notebooks individually T: And now, you’re going to listen to the tape about Lan, Ba, Kien and Mai. Before listening, guess what exactly each people do. Prediction - Run through all the words. - Ask ss to predict which activities Mai/ Kien / Lan/ Ba does at recess. Listening - T asks ss to listen the tape and match which activities Mai/ Kien / Lan/ Ba does. Mai Kien Lan Ba playing catch playing marbles skipping rope playing blindman’s bluff. - Give feedback. Step 3: Production: Survey (6 mins) - T divides the class into 4 groups. - Ask students to ask their friends to complete the survey then report. - T gives feedback. Example exchange: A: What do you ussually do at recess? B: I ussually ……………………… S: Lan usually skips rope at recess. -Ss listen to the tape to match. Tape: It is recess and the yard is very crowded and noisy.Mai and Bi are playing catch.Kien is playing blindman’s bluff with some friends. Ba is playing marbles and Lan is skipping rope. They are all having a good time. - Ask their friends to complete the survey then report.
