Practise listening for specific information. - Skills : + Main skill : Listening + Subskills : Reading, Writing, Speaking - Anticipated problems :Some Ss may not listen B.Objectives - Students can know vocabulary accuracy. - By the end of the lesson students will be able to listen for details about the trip to Ba’s village C.Teaching aids Text book, posters. D.Procedure 1/ Check up (3p) - Where’s Ba’s village? - How did Ba and his family get to the village? - Where is the banyan tree? - What did they see on the mountain? 2/ Warm up? (7) Noughts and crosses: questions and answers about a place - Divide class into two teams. - Draw a nine- square grid on the board. - Each square is numbered ( from 1 to 9) - Make 9 word cards: Who, Where, When, What, Which, How, How many, is , are ( from 1 to 9 ). - The teams will take turn to choose the number and make a question using the word given on the card. If they can make a correct question, put a X or O in that box. - The first team that has three Xs or Os in a line on the grid wins. Suggested questions. Where is your homevilage? . 3. Preteach vocabulary (8p): - a route: tuyÕn ®êng, lé tr×nh ( explanation: a way from one place to another.) - a pond: C¸i ao ( picture) - parking lot = car park: Khu vùc ®Ó «t« ( picture) - (to) pick sb up: ®ãn ai (translation) Checking up : RoR. 4. While- listening : Introduce: We will listen to a passage which describes the way from Ba , s house to his home village - Ask Ss to predict the names and the places in the map . - Write their predictions on the board . - Turn on the tape ( 2 0r 3 times ) - Ask them to exchange and compare their answers . - Call on some Ss to report their answers in front of class. - Remark and correct mistakes .
