Giúp HS biết chuẩn bò tài liệu, sách giáo khoa, cách học chương trình Tiếng Anh lớp 8 mới. Qua tiết học, HS biết chuẩn bò đầy đủ các tài liệu, dụng cụ học tập Tiếng Anh 8 và biết cách học và soạn Tiếng Anh 8. II/ Bài mới: 1. Giới thiệu chương trình Tiếng Anh lớp 8 mới: -Chương trình Tiếng Anh lớp 8 mới gồm 16 đơn vò bài học (Unit) được phát triển từ sáu chủ điểm lớn: Personal information; Education; Health; Community; Recreation; The world around us. -Mỗi đơn vò bài học được chia nhỏ theo các mục: * Getting started * Read *Listen & repeat * Write * Speak * Language Focus * Listen 2. Tài liệu, sách vở chuẩn bò cho việc học Tiếng Anh 8: * Vở: một quyển vở học, một quyển vở soạn và một quyển vở bài tập. * Sách bắt buộc: - Sách GK + sách bài tập Tiếng Anh 8 - Bảng động từ bất qui tắc. * Các tài liệu tham khảo:- Từ điển, băng casstte - Sách ngữ pháp - Các sách bài tập bỗ trợ và nâng cao khác. 3. Hướng dẫn cách học: * Ở lớp tập trung chú ý nghe giảng, phát biểu xây dựng bài. Tham gia rèn luyện cặp, nhóm . Hỏi những kiến thức mà mình chưa hiểu, chưa biết. Tham gia rèn luyện nói Tiếng Anh càng nhiều càng tốt. * Ở nhà: Học bài, làm bài, chuẩn bò bài mới trước khi đi học. 4. III)Techniques: roleplay, groupwork, pairwork, questions-answers IV)Teaching aids:Textbook, poster, cassette, tape, pictures V) Procedures: 1.Stabilization(2’): Greetings 2.Checking up: 3.New lesson: Time Teacher’s activitives Students’activities 5’ I/ Warm-up: Getting started * Set the scene: I like reading books in my free time and I often play football in the afternoon. What about you?/ What do you do in your free time?/ after school? * Give an introduction: Have sts look at the pictures: There are activities sts often do in their free time. - Ask sts to answer the questions about the pictures: + What are these children doing? + Where are they? + Are they all boys? + What time of the day do you think it is? + Do girls play soccer? + Do you like soccer and where do you often Listen Answer the questions Listen Work in pairs. Introduction: Hoa and Lan are talking about Nien who was Hoa’s next door neighbor in Hue. 2. New words: - seem (example) Ex: she seems happy. - a next- door neighbor: a person who lives next door to your house. 3. Grammar: * What does she look like? She is beautiful * She wasn’t old enough to be in my class. • Form: (not) adj + enough + to- inf • Meaning: (khong) du de lam gi III/ Practice: • Activity 1: - Have sts listen to the tape. - Have them listen and repeat. - Ask sts to practice the dialogue with a partner. - Call on some pairs to play the roles. • Activity 2: - Ask sts to read the dialogue silently and answer the questions given. - Have sts compare the answers with a partner. - Call on sts to give the answers. - Give the correct answers. a. III)Techniques: Chatting, groupwork, pairwork, questions-answers IV)Teaching aids:Textbook, poster, pictures V) Procedures: 1.Stabilization(2’): Greetings 2.Checking up(5’)Call on sts to play the roles of the dialogue. Presentation - Show sts a picture of Mary and ask them to work in group.
