A- GRAMMAR I/ Cách dùng enough câu “Enough” dùng với tính từ trạng từ “Enough” đứng sau tính từ trạng từ, sau “enough” động từ nguyên thể có “To” S + tobe + adj + enough + (for SB) + to infinitive S + V + adv + enough + (for SB) + to infinitive Note: SB tân ngữ (O) Ex1: She is tall enough to reach the picture on the wall Ex2: The water is warm enough to wash the clothes Ex3: He runs fast enough to get the first prize Cấu trúc enough dạng phủ định: S + tobe not + adj + enough + (for SB) + to infinitive S + don’t/doesn’t/didn’t +V + adv + enough + (for SB) + to infinitive Ex: She is not tall enough to reach the picture on the wall The water is not warm enough to wash the clothes He doessn’t run fast enough to get the first prize Cấu trúc enough với danh từ “Enough” dùng với danh từ Khi “enough” đứng trước danh từ S + V + enough + noun + (for SB) + to infinitive Ex: I don’t have enough money to buy that car She has enough time to finish her exercises There is enough food in the fridge for us to eat during the weekend *3 nguyên tắc cần nhớ dùng enough để nối câu Nguyên tắc 1: Nếu trước tính từ, trạng từ câu có trạng từ: too, so, very, quite, extremely Trước danh từ có many, much, a lot of, lots of phải bỏ Ví dụ 1: He is very intelligent He can it He is very intelligent enough to it He is intelligent enough to it (đúng) Ví dụ 2: He has a lot of money He can buy a car He has enough a lot of money to buy a car He has enough money to buy a car (đúng) Nguyên tắc 2: Nếu chủ từ hai câu giống bỏ phần for sb Ví dụ: Tom is strong He can lift the box Tom is strong enough for him to lift the box Tom is strong enough to lift the box (đúng) The weather is fine Mary and her little brother can go to school The weather is fine enough to go to school The weather is fine enough for Mary and her little brother to go to school (đúng) * Tuy nhiên chủ từ câu sau có ý chung chung bỏ Ví dụ: The sun is not warm We can't live on it The sun is not warm enough to live on (we chung chung, người) Nguyên tắc 3: Nếu chủ từ câu đầu túc từ câu sau phải bỏ túc từ câu sau Ví dụ: The water is quite warm I can drink it The water is warm enough for me to drink it The water is warm enough for me to drink (đúng) II/ Quy tắc trật tự tính từ Adjs + noun Trật tự tính từ: Op → S → A → Sh → C → O → M → P Op: Opinion : quan điểm, ý kiến Ex: Beautiful, great, lovely, nice, awesome,… S: Size: Kích thước, kích cỡ Ex: Long, short, big, small, tall,… A: Age: tuổi Ex: Old, new, young, ancient, modern,… Sh: Shape: kiểu dáng Ex: Straight, curly, round, square, oval,… C: Color = Colour : màu sắc Ex: Red, blue, black, white, green, gray / grey, orange, brown, pink,… O : Origin: nguồn gốc Ex: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Swiss, Italian, English,… M: Material: Chất liệu Ex: Cotton, plastic,
