TANK CLEANING TO WHITE WATER (WWS) STANDARDS WALL WASH TEST IS NOT REQUIRED In case the last cargo is Palm / Vegetable / Heavy / Heated Oils - Total Duration 43hrs Please divide cargo and slop tanks in four (5) groups Each of the first four groups shall consist of three (3) cargo tanks and the last fifth group shall consist of slop P & S tanks All groups shall be cleaned in four (4) stages as following: 1st stage – tanks simultaneously By fixed machines full-wash cycles Hot sea water 50-55 C Back Pressure above 8Bar Duration: groups X 90 minutes (includes change of tanks and stripping) 2nd stage – tank at a time By a fixed machine full-wash cycle1 Back Pressure above 8Bar & simultaneously By portable machines full-wash cycles – levels Injecting Alkleen safety liquid % about Hot sea water above 75 C Duration: 14 tanks X 60 minutes (includes transfer of portable machines and stripping) 3rd stage – tanks simultaneously By fixed machines full-wash cycles Hot fresh water above 75 C Back Pressure above 8Bar (each 10 m3/hr) Duration: groups X 90 minutes (includes change of tanks and stripping) 4th stage – tank at a time Ventilation3, hand washing, drying, mopping & flushing by hot fresh water if needed Duration: 14 tanks X 60 minutes Remarks: 1 full cycle of a fixed machine last 40 minutes and use less than four (10) m3 water at bar full cycle of a portable machine last 20 minutes and use less than four (20) m3 water at bar During ventilation please adjust the pressure by opening more tanks in order to protect the fan The tank cleaning duration and the quantity of washing waters can be reduced, and the condition of the tanks can be improved as following:  by well strip and squeegee the cargo and slop tanks prior ballasting the adjacent ballast tanks  by cleaning the cargo and slop tanks prior ballasting the adjacent ballast tanks (weather safety permits)  by continue monitoring the fixed and portable tank cleaning machines ensuring that all are working properly during tank cleaning operations  by continue monitoring / regulating framo pumps ensuring that effective stripping is carried out and no wash-water accumulated into the bottom of the tanks during tank cleaning operations  by injecting properly or increasing the quantity of chemicals used during tank cleaning operations  by well planning the shifting operations of the tank cleaning machines Special attention is required to ensure that manholes, butterworth-openings, ladders, heating coils, pumps, lines and manifolds are properly cleaned free of oil, fats, last cargo traces and well drained prior arrival at load port/berth Water White Standard (WWS)4 is defined as follows: * No trace of previous cargo in tanks or lines * No odour * No suspendables * No discoloration from last cargoes * No free water or condensation in pump well, bottom, bulkheads, overhead or line systems * No loose scale and/or blisters in tank coating * Heating coils clean and bright * Cargo pump and piping clean and bright * Hatch packing clean and free from odour * Tank pump, lines, valves and drain cocks must all be fresh water rinsed to prevent damage to stainless steel components * Fixed tank cleaning machine nozzles to be set in down position * Drain holes if fitted to be checked that same not blocked * Manifolds must be opened and visually inspected to confirm they are clean and free of previous cargo or water * Heat exchangers if fitted must be opened and visually inspected to confirm they are clean and free of previous cargo or water References: MIRACLE 2007 Online Tank Cleaning Guide https://miracle.chemserve.eu/%20?act_id=7 https://miracle.chemserve.eu/ ... port/berth Water White Standard (WWS)4 is defined as follows: * No trace of previous cargo in tanks or lines * No odour * No suspendables * No discoloration from last cargoes * No free water or... clean and free of previous cargo or water * Heat exchangers if fitted must be opened and visually inspected to confirm they are clean and free of previous cargo or water References: MIRACLE 2007 Online...The tank cleaning duration and the quantity of washing waters can be reduced, and the condition of the tanks can be improved as following:  by well strip
