Cách sử dụng another, other và the other Người đăng: Phan Hằng Ngày: 02062017 Another, other và the other được sử dụng phổ biến trong tiếng Anh. Tuy nhiên nhiều bạn dễ bị nhầm lẫn và không phân biệt được lúc nào thì dùng chúng. Bài viết sẽ giúp các bạn ghi nhớ điều đó một cách dễ dàng. 1. Cách sử dụng của Another Dưới đây là cách sử dụng Another: Another + Danh từ đếm được số ít: một cái nữa, một cái khác... (=one more) Ví dụ: Another pencil (= one more pencil): 1 chiếc bút chì khác Another person (= one more person): 1 người khác Another house (= one more house): 1 ngôi nhà khác 2. Cách sử dụng other Dưới đây là một số trường hợp chúng ta sử dụng other: Other + Danh từ đếm được số nhiều: mấy cái nữa, mấy cái khác... Ví dụ: Other pencils (= some more pencils): Mấy cái bút chì khác Other + Danh từ không đếm được: một chút nữa Ví dụ: Other water = Some more water: Một chút nước nữa 3. Cách sử dụng the other Một số trường hợp cần lưu ý để sử dụng the other như sau: The other + Danh từ đếm được số ít: Cái cuối cùng còn lại, người cuối cùng còn lại... Ví dụ: The other pencil (Cái bút chì cuối cùng) The other + Danh từ đếm được số nhiều: Mấy cái nữa, mấy cái khác... Ví dụ: The other tables (Mấy cái bàn khác), The other pencil (Mấy chiếc bút khác)... The other + Danh từ không đếm được: Chỗ còn sót lại Ví dụ: The other sugar (chỗ đường còn lại) Lưu ý: Another và other là không xác định. The other là chỉ xác định. The others là chỉ số nhiều của the other Khi đối tượng đã được nhắc đến ở trước đó, chúng ta có thể bỏ danh từ theo sau Another và other, chỉ giữ lại another và other như 1 đại từ là đủ. Danh từ số nhiều có thể lược bớt và thay thế bằng others. Không được dùng others + Danh từ Ví dụ: I dont want this book. Please give me the other. (Tôi không muốn cuốn sách này.
