LƯU Ý - Trong tiếng Anh người Mĩ (American English), shall thường khơng dùng để nói vể thời gian tương lai - Khơng dùng tương lai đơn (future simple) mệnh đề trạng ngữ thời gian với when, as, while, before, after, as soon as, until, by the time, etc mà dùng đơn (present simple) để diễn đạt tương lai Ex: Call me as soon as you have any news [NOT as soon as you will have any news] Let’s wait until the rain stops [NOT the rain will stop] II THÌ TƯƠNG LAI TIẾP DIỄN (THE FUTURE PROGRESSIVE TENSE) Cấu trúc (Form) a Thể khẳng định (Affirmative form) S + will/shall + be + Ving Ex: I’ll be working all day tomorrow b Thể phủ định (Negative form) S + will/ shall + not + be + Ving Rút gọn: will not won’t; shall not shan’t Ex: We won’t be doing much on Sunday c Thể nghi vấn (Interrogative form) Will/ Shall + S + be + Ving ? We’re going to get a new car soon He’s going to work in the USA this summer b Dự đoán tương lai dựa tình - nói nghĩ điều xảy dựa vào nhìn thấy nghe thấy Ex: She’s pregnant - she’s going to have a baby [NOT she’ll have a baby] Look at that ship! It’s going to hit the rocks! And Beckham passes to Owen He’s going to score Goal! LƯU Ý - Be going to thường không dùng với động từ go come Trong trường hợp nên dùng tiếp diễn để diễn tả dự định tương lai Ex: We are going to the movies tonight My brother is coming to see me on the weekend - Will/ be going to dùng để diễn đạt định, nhưng: + Will dùng định làm việc lúc nói (ý định khơng trù tính trước) Ex: I don’t feel like cooking tonight ~ Well, we’ll eat out then + Be going to dùng định trước dự định làm việc (ý định trù tính, xếp từ trước) Ex: We are going to eat out tonight - Will / be going to dùng để dự đoán tương lai, nhưng: + Will dùng đưa lời dự đoán dựa vào quan điểm kinh nghiệm Ex: It’ll probably rain at the weekend + Be going to dùng đưa lời dự đoán dựa vào tình tại, có Ex: Look at those cloud It’s going to rain - Dùng be going to (không dùng will) để diễn đạt hành động tương lai chắn xảy Ex: Help! I’m going to fall! [NOT Help!
