II. Skill: Speaking and reading B. PROCEDURE: I. Settlement: Setting up pair and group work II. Checking: Who is absent today? III. New lesson: Lesson 2 : Speaking Teacher’s activities Students’ activities I- Warm- up: - Teacher asks a question for students to brainstorm about the topic of the lesson: "What do you usually do in your free time?" Set the scene: - Teacher introduces: I myself usually listen to music when I have free time. Today we will talk about music and your habit of listening to music. Now let listen to some songs. - Teacher: What songs you have just listened to? What kind of music they are? - Students listen to the teacher and brainstorm. Possible answer + watch TV + listen to music .etc. - Students listen to the songs and say their ideas + "Show me the meaning of being lonely" (Backstreet boys) + "Âæåìng tåïi âènh vinh quang" (The Wall or Bæïc Tæåìng) + "Huãú Thæång" (Thu Hiãön) ( POP, Rock and Folk music) (Students' answer) Free time activitie s Who or which band sing them? How you feel when you listen to these songs? - Teacher elicits some words/ phrases + to make s.o happy + to cheer s.o up + to help s.o forget troubles + to have the radio on + to be easy to listen to + to make s.o excited + to make s.o feel relaxed 3. B: . - Now practice asking and answering the questions.
