Text summary Mickey Mouse is the most famous animated character of the Disney Company. He was created by Walt Disney. He has big eyes and ears, stands on two legs, and wears white gloves. Mickey Mouse first appeared in November of 1928 in the movie “Steamboat Willie”. This year, Mickey Mouse has celebrated his seventy- fifth birthday. Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney have become famous since the first cartoon filmed in the full-color called “Flowers and trees”. Over the years, Mickey Mouse has had a lot of cultural influence in society. For example, many things were produced in Mickey Mouse’s shape such as Mickey Mouse toys, Mickey Mouse watches or Mickey Mouse telephones. In the next two years, the Disney Company will release two movies starring Mickey Mouse and others characters. Especially, the United States Postal Service will start to honor Disney characters with postage stamps. Actually, Mickey Mouse’s image is in everybody’s heart. Genres: * Content: Describe the Mickey Mouse’s development process from his first appearance to now. * Format: - There are three Mickey Mouse’s pictures on the left of the text. The text is on the right; it is divided into eight paragraphs. - At the bottom of the text, there is the explanation of two words “animated” and “character”. - The letter “M” is capitalized very big at the first paragraph. - At the top of right corner has the phrase “Happy new year” * Generic structure: Mickey Mouse at seventy-fifth was written for people on over the world especially children. Besides, he wants to let everyone know the Disney Company’s projects in the next two years. III. Elements making the text meaningful 1. Picture analysis In these pictures, Mickey Mouse and his girl friend (Minnie) are on the great wall on the street and in Disney Park. This shows that how famous Mickey Mouse is all over the world. Also, through the pictures, we can image the image of Mickey Mouse in reality. On his face, there is always a friendly smile that makes more lovely and amiable. 2. Lexical devices a.
