General knowledge: After learning the lesson the sts can: + Get familiar with the new topic: foods and talk about them. Vocabulary: (n) green peper, pan, spinach, soy sauce, chopsticks. Attitude: Help the students understand and express themselves about the foods they like. II. PREPARATIONS: 1. References: Teacher’s and students’ books. 2. Method: communicative approach. 3. Review of the previous lesson: T: give some fruits on the table. Then ask the sts to point out their English names. Sts: match the words with the kinds of fruits. T: Give comments on the sts’ answers and marks. 3. New lesson: Stages Teacher’s and students’ activities Contents Warm up T: give some kinds of fruits and ask the sts if they like them. Sts: answer the teacher’s questions and practise the sentences in A2. Sts: also use other kinds of foods to practise. The part A2, pg:116 – English7 I like pineapples. Presentation Comprehen- sion –check Practice Summary You are going to read about some foods Hoa’s aunt cooked for her, the night before. T: show the pictures and ask the sts to tell the meaning of them. Sts: look at the pictures and answer the teacher. T: give the new words at the same time T: give some questions on the passage. Sts: read the passage (silently) and answer the questions. T: correct the sts’ answer. T: ask the sts to read the passage aloud. Sts: read the passage ( twice ) T: ask the sts to look at the open recipes and fill them. Sts: fill in the blanks with the verbs used in the passage. T: sak the sts to look at the pictures in 3b and match the instructions with them. Sts: do the matching and correct each other. T: remind the sts of the new words and structures learnt in the lesson. Sts: read the passage again. T: ask the sts to do the exercise in the student’s workbook.
