MY CLASS Objective: To learn about the value of asking nicely, to role play Vocabulary: please, thank you - - - - 5’: Warm up 5’: Sing and doing the actions for the song “Look, look, look!” o Organize children in small groups and give each group an object from the song o Table, chair, pencil, crayon, book, teacher 5’: Introduce asking nicely o Say child grab a crayon out of their friend’s hand without asking  Say: No…! That’s not nice!  Sammy: I want the crayon  Say: Sammy, you have to ask nicely  Sammy give back the crayon and say: Please give me the crayon  Give the crayon to Sammy and say: Here  Sammy: Thank you! o Invite other children to role play the same scene 10’: Listen and say o Draw face not have mouth o Sammy say something in a rude way >> say “Not nice” o Sammy say something nicely >> say “Nice” o Open page 18 and let children guess what is happening? 10’: Ask nicely chant Ask nicely chant Please and thank you Please and thank you Ask nicely: “Please and thank you!” I ask please I say “Thank you!” Please and thank you, please! - - 10’: Act it out o Put various classroom objects out on the table and invite pairs of children to practice asking nicely for them o Could use “I have a…” Finish with goodbye song
