UNIT 15: SPACE CONQUEST read I. Aims and objectives: + Language content: - The students can understand Gagarin’s historic flight into space. + Language function: - Through the reading period, the students will be able to develop their reading skill and enlarge their vocabulary. + Education aim: - To educate the students to understand more about the history of space science, the love of science and the respect of respect of great men. 1. New lesson: Time Teacher’s activity Students’ activity The content of the lesson 5’ Lead in: Give a game “crossword”. 1. It in a verb about fast or slow. Space - Ask the students to work in pairs and answer the questions. - In troduce the fire leadings before asking students to skim the whole passage and choose the correct heading in groups. - Have some students in each group to show their choice. - Listen to the teacher to explain 5 headings and then skim the passage to choose the correct heading for each paragraph. - Give the matching.
