Activity     On your tables you have some words that we use when we talk about mobile phones For each of the words write a short description of what that word means Example- T9 Description- you can use this when texting people The phone will predict what word you are going to type Answers     3G It allows people to access the internet while they are out and about It lets them check emails etc but it does cost money Bluetooth Lets you exchange data with another phone, a photo for example Answers     MMS This lets you send photos and videos to your friends in a text message It does cost more however SMS This is when we text our friends It stands for Short Message Service Answers       Pay as you go You top your phone up with credit each week or month Contract You pay the phone company a set amount each month WIFI You use the connection that you use when you have a computer or laptop to access the internet This is free to use if you have it at home Should I be using my phone here?   We use mobile phones every day and they are an important part of our lives and allow us to keep in touch with family and friends We always have our mobiles with us but should we be using them everywhere we go? Using mobile phones to film in the cinema is against the law You can use your mobile in the cinema, but you may be asked to leave or switch it off by a member of staff Should I be using my phone here?    When in class?
