Ms Kim Loan-Galaxy English Center Theme 5: TOYS Time: 30 minutes - - Sing the Hello song: Sing the song together doing all of the gestures Elicit new words about TOYS and write them all on the board Have Ss copy down into their notebook Teach them how to say the words, ask Ss to repeat in chorus and call on individuals to read the words Vocabulary Review: + Erase the words one by one and ask Ss what the word on the board was taken, then ask some Ss to come up to the board and write the words + Slow motion game: T devides class into teams, name each team T stands in front of the class holding a pack of flashcards with the picture facing towards the class The last card should be turned around so the picture is facing the Ss but is hidden as it is behind the pack Slowly pull the flashcard up inch by inch so the Ss can only see part of the picture As the picture is slowly revealed, Ss try to guess what it is The first S to guess correctly keeps the card and wins point for her/his team Elicit the structure “What can you see?” “I can see a (big) (ball).” Ask Ss to repeat in chorus and call on each pairs to act out the structure Sing the Goodbye song
