However, in the reality, the teachers and students from Nam Cao high school have problems in teaching and learning English speaking. This research was carried out to examine how the speaking skill of 10 th graders at Nam Cao high school can be improved through using role play activities, and investigating the students’ attitudes toward using role play activities in teaching and learning English and the use of role play by teachers in teaching speaking skill as well.
