LESSON PLAN TIENG ANH 11_UNIT 12: THE ASIAN GAMES PART A: READING I OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will have:      Learned/Applied some vocabularies related to the topic Known more about the names of sports Widened knowledge about the history of the Asian Games Developed reading skill for specific information, text-attack Been proud of Vietnamese sports II TIMES: 45 minutes III TECHNIQUES: group work, question and answer, communicative activity IV LEXICAL ITEMS & STRUCTURES Lexical items: + aquatic sports, intercultural knowledge, facilities, enthusiasm (n) + fencing, bodybuilding, squash, wrestling, boxing, weightlifting, rugby (n) + appreciate, advance (v) • Structures: V TEACHING AIDS: chalk, black board, textbook, power point, projector, mini-boards, markers VI PROCEDURES STAGES TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES Warm-up (5’) -Divide class into groups -Instruct Game: Lucky Number Each group takes turn to choose numbers hiding questions on the screen If they choose numbers with the questions, they will answer the questions If they choose lucky numbers, they not need to answer, but still get points -Give an example if necessary *The screen: -Work in group -Listen to instruction -Choose numbers on the screen -Answer the questions -Follow the teacher *Behind the numbers: How often are the Asian Games held?
