Châu Văn liêm High School LESSON PLAN Date: 15/01/2011  UNIT 10: NATURE IN DANGER Part C: Listening (Students’ book, page 118) Grade 11 Class: 11C5 Period: 63 I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  Develop such listening micro-skills as listening for specific and detailed information  Use the acquired language to summarize the information they listen to II Materials: - Textbook, posters, cassette and handouts III Anticipated problems: The topic can be challenging for Ss, so T should prepare them enough for the listening tasks (Example: pre- teaching new words, giving a bit of information about the topic, etc.) IV Procedure Time 5’ Contents I WARM UP: MATCHING Name (Column A) 1.Cúc Phương 2.Cát Bà 3.Cát Tiên 4.Bạch Mã Picture (National Park) (Column B) Teacher’s and Students’ activities T introduces the game T divides class into three groups( A, B and C) T gives instructions: “There are columns (A&B) You have to match A the names of the national parks in Vietnam with the pictures Which B group finishes first and has more the correct pictures, will be the winner” T checks the rules of the game + Who are in group A (please raise C your hand? +Are there or pictures? + Will you work in groups or in pairs? D  Answer keys: 1.A 2.B 3.D 4.C  Set the scene: 1’ or 2? Ss play the game T gives the answer keys and decides Now class, you know any information about these the winner national parks in Vietnam?
