Aim : By the end of the lesson , students will be able to : - use the words and phrases relating to energy-saving - understand the dialogue and the ways to save energy II. Language contents : * Grammar : - Phrasal verbs : turn on , turn off - Making suggestions : suggest + V-ing * Vocabulary : (n) bill, plumber , crack , dripping faucet , pipe (a) enormous III.Techniques : Chatting, Rub out and remember, True or Fasle statement prediction IV. Teaching aids : Cassette, pictures, tape V. Procedures : Teacher’s and Students’ activitives Content T. asks Ss to look at the pictures on page 57 ( or shows the pictures on the board ) T. asks Ss some questions so that they can understand the pictures Let Ss look at the pictures then work in pairs to make a list of things the family could do to save energy T. corrects, then gives Ss the marks T. presents vocabulary by simple English, pictures…….
