Pre- (10’) - Introduces some new words for Ss by poster New words Horn (n): a part, pointed on the head an animal Snout (n): pointed front, above the mouth Rhinoceros (n): con tê giác (picture) Logo (n): Biểu tượng ( picture) Swallow (v): make or let pass down one’s throat chew (v): work (food etc) between teeth Extensive (a): large, a lot Tail (n): hindmost part of an animal’s body Ancient (a) : very old - Revision of relative pronouns and clauses. - Helps Ss to review relative clauses and pronouns definition of relative pronouns and asks them to give some examples to make sure that they understand the use of relative clauses. Example: 1: I bought a new type writer. It cost me a lot of money. -> …… 2: Tom is one of my closest friends. He is very intelligent. -> ……. 3. While- (20’) Exercise 1/ page 81 - Asks Ss to use relative pronouns "who, which, that" to answer the questions on page 81. Start with the words given like the example: The city which was struck by a huge earthquake in 1995 in Japan is Kobe. - Tell Ss to compare their answers with a friend. - Call on some Ss to read their whole sentences. - Feedback and give correct answers by poster. Exercise 2/ page 81,82 - Keeps Ss in pairs but with another partner. - Asks Ss to match each of the sentences in column A with a related sentence in column B use the suitable relative pronouns to join the two sentences. - Calls on some pairs to read the answers and go to the board to write. - Corrects the mistakes if necessary. * Answer: 2.g: It snow…….
