GRADE EP KID STARTERS: Date: November 17 th , 2013 LESSON PLAN ~~o0o~~ UNIT 3: IS IT A PLANE? Lesson: 1 I. Aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - learn 5 toys. - practice the toy words in the form of a chant. II. Language focus: - Vocabulary: plane, puppet, robot, balloon, teddy. III. Procedure: Teacher’s activities Student’s activities 1. Warm up: - Play the song “The letter F song” * Lead in: Use flashcards to introduce about “toy”: “There are some toys. Do you love toys? What toys do you have?” (English/ Vietnamese) 2. Presentation: a. Listen, point and repeat. (track 36) b. Listen and chant. (track 37) c. Game: “slap the board” 3. Practice: a. Point and say. Stick the stickers: b. Play game: “slow reveal” - check the vocabulary. 4. Language focus: - Vocabulary: toy words. - Structure: + Is it a…? – Yes, it is/ No, it isn’t. III. Procedure: Teacher’s activities Student’s activities 1. Warm up: Play game “ Where is it?” - T hides the flashcards in the class. * Lead in: bring a toy in the bag. Ss can’t guess inside the bag. Encourage ss to ask: “Is it a….?” 2. Presentation: a.
