JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHING PLAN- ENGLISH 8 UNIT4:OUR PAST LESSON 4: READ “THE LOST SHOE” Teacher: + Students prepare for some Vietnamese folktales they have already read. +One of the students tells the story in front of the class. -These are the pictures of a famous Vietnamese folktale.Can you guess what it is? TEACHER DIVIDES THE CLASS INTO THREE GROUPS. * Group1: Prepare for the first paragraph. * Group2: Prepare for the second paragraph. *Group3: Prepare for the rest of the story. -The three groups discuss and exchange “the gap information” and help together with the new words. -They don’t need to understand every word,but try to guess the main ideas of the story. @. U p to now , they can understand the content of the story without getting every word. @.Some of them can retell and share the story before the class. -Teacher asks students to relate the folktale to the one in the Vietnamese old stories “TAM CAM”. -Teacher gives comments and helps them to understand more clearly the folktale as well as its moral value.
