Educational aims: - By the end the lesson, students will able to listen a conversation between Bob and Sally talking about Olympic champion. - Students can improve listening skill and learn some vocabulary related to the lesson 2. Skills: listening and guessing skills II. Methods: commucative activities III. Teaching aids: pictures, handouts… IV. Procedures Steps/ Time CONTENTS Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm up ( 4 ms) Before you listen ( 10 ms ) While you listen ( 26ms ) Teacher asks some questions: - Can you name some any Olympic champions? - What would you like to know about these people? Teacher leads in the reading lesson. ٭ Vocabulary - Olympic champion(np): Nhà vô địch Olympic - Sports teacher(np): Giaos viên thể dục - Teacher’s diploma( np): Bằng sư phạm - Love story(np):Chuyện tình cảm - romantic(adj): lãng mạn - basketball (n): bong rổ Task 1 : Listen to the conversation between Bob and Sally. Decide whether the statements are true (T) or false (F) . Correct answers: 1T( Was born 1980, joined the star sports club when she was 15) 2T( her parents, two brothers and she) 3F ( don’t have much free time) 4T 5F( sports teacher) Teacher asks students to discuss and answer the questions. Teacher asks students to give the meaning of the words Teacher checks Teacher explains how to do the task 1 Teacher asks students to work individually to read the statements carefully before listening Teacher plays the tape Teacher checks and gives correct answers Teacher explains Students work in pairs.
