Lesson plan UNIT 12: MUSIC Period 73: B – Speaking Class : 10A3 Student : Bui Thi Thu Huyen Teacher guide : Mrs Nguyen Van Anh I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss are able to: + ask and answer questions about music. + talk about favorite kinds of music. II. Teaching aids: - Textbook, chalk, board, pictures. III. Anticipated problems: - Ss may not have enough vocabulary to talk about the topic, so T should ready to provide help. IV. Proceduces: Teacher's activities Students' activities I. WARM – UP:(5minutes) - T asks Ss to work in group (8 Ss). Each group will write quickly kinds of music in 1minute. T choose the fasttest group and asks Ss to comment. If this group write the fasttest and have the most exactly words is winner. If another group have more exactly words than this group, that group will be winner. T and Ss congratulate winner.T says “ today we will talk about music in Unit 12 part B T writes on board Unit 12 : music (continue) Part B : Speaking - music : pop music, classical music, hip – hop, rock’n’roll, folk music, jazz, - Ss take part in game. - Ss listen and take note TASK 1: Answering questions based on the reading text.() T says “In this task you are going to hear Ha Anh say about music. You read the passage and answer 4 questions (T shows secondary). In this passage I give for you a structure Cheer sbd up = make sbd happier : lam cho ai do buon.(T writes on board) “can you find this structure in the passage in what line?” T asks 1 student read this sentence. T asks other student make 1 similar sentence with structure. T and Ss comment. “ now we have 4 minutes to read and answer questions. Let’s start” - Go round to observe Ss working - “ time’s up. Who can answer question 1?” T asks 1 student answer one by one - Ss listen to teacher. - Guess the meaning of these words. - answer T’question - Ss comment - Ss work in pairs. Suggested answers: 1. She likes pop music. 2. Because it keeps her . winner.
