UNIT 5: THE MEDIA Period 30: Speak (page 42) A.Aim: Practice speaking about the programs on TV. B.Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will able to talk to their friends about the programs that they like or dislike. C.Teaching aids: Text books D.Procedure: Warm-up :* Information transmitting: - Divide the class into two teams. - choose 6 volunteers from each team. - Get the volunteers to stand in two lines. - Show the first student in each line a sentence (written on a small piece of paper) You don't like foreign films, do you? - The first student in each line a sentence to the next person in his/her line. - The second student whispers to the third and so on. - The last student shouts out the sentence then writers it on the board, if it is the same as the sentence teacher shows, that team wins the game. I.Pre-speaking : * Pre - teach vocabulary - Violent (adj.): bạo lực(definition: show great physical force) - documentary (n): tài liệu, phim tài liệu (definition: something written or printed that gives information). - information (adj.): giàu thông tin(translation) * Checking vocabulary: Rub out and Remember II. Revision of tag questions : - Ask students to complete the dialogue between Lien and Trung (ask them to keep their books closed). Lien: You like watching sports, _______? Trung: Not really.
