Ordinary verb

She, he, it + V (s/es)

In the present simple 3rd person singular (he, she, it), add s, es, or ies to the base form of the verb

- To regular verbs just add an s — Ex: travel >travels, give > gives, play >plays

- To verbs that end in s, ss, sh, ch, x, and 0, add an es — Ex: wash > washes, mix > mixes, 20 >g0es

- To verbs end in y after a consonant (any letter that isn’t a vowel), change the y toi and add es Ex: study > studies, fly > flies

2 Verb + -ing form

- Use “ing” form as a noun :

Ex: Swimming is a good for your health

- Use “ing” form after go for physical activities

Ex: He goes fishing every Sunday

3 Modal verbs

- Modal verbs are verbs that have a complementary meaning to the main verb, used

to express possibility, prediction, prohibition, request,

- Common modal verbs include : can, could, may, might, must, have to, need, should, ought to,

Ex: They can control their own budgets

-Inability/ Impossibility

Ex: We can’t fix it

-Asking for permission

-Usage :

+ The Past Simple describes an action that happened in the past, ended in the past, the result is not related to the present
