I Introduction:

This project aims to analyze factors affecting university students' decision to choose FPT University Can Tho The research was conducted using online survey method with 80 students studying at FPT Can Tho University To better understand the factors that influence university students' decision to choose FPT University Can Tho, the research team conducted this study

1.Problem description:

Choosing a university is an important decision for every high school senior This decision will affect each individual's academic, career and life future

Currently, there are many universities across the country, each with its own advantages and disadvantages Therefore, choosing the right university is not an easy matter

As for FPT Can Tho University, this is a private university in Vietnam, known for its high training quality, modern facilities and dynamic learning environment However, to better understand the factors that influence students' decisions to choose FPT Can Tho University,

a specific study is needed

2.Project goals:

The goal of this project is to understand the factors that influence university students' decision to choose FPT Can Tho University Specific goals of the project include:

Through this research, we can better understand the important factors that students care about when choosing a university, thereby helping FPT Can Tho University make appropriate adjustments in admission work and training

3.Response variable:

The main response variable of the study is "decision to choose FPT

Can Tho University" This variable is measured using a 5-point Likert

scale

The 1-5 satisfaction scale is a scale used to rate a person's level of

satisfaction with a product, service, or experience This scale is

divided into 5 levels, from 1 to 5, with the following meanings:

1 Very dissatisfied

2 Dissatisfied

3 Neutral

4 Satisfaction

5 Very satisfied

The higher the satisfaction level, the more satisfied the survey

participant is with the product, service or experience being

evaluated In the case of the survey question about factors affecting

the decision to choose a university, a satisfaction level of 1-5 is used

to evaluate the level of satisfaction of FPT Can Tho University

students about the that factor For example, if a student rates their

satisfaction with the school's training quality as 5, it means they are

very satisfied with the school's training quality

4.The experimental factors considered in this study include:

- Field of study: Which field of study do students choose?

- Approach: From what source did you know about FPT Can Tho

University?

- Deciding factor: What factors made you decide to choose FPT

Can Tho University?

- Training quality: How do students evaluate the training quality

of FPT Can Tho University?

- Learning environment: How do students evaluate the learning environment of FPT Can Tho University?

- Extracurricular activities: How do students evaluate FPT Can Tho University's extracurricular activities?

- Infrastructure: Do students rate their satisfaction with the

facilities at FPT University?

- Teaching staff: Do students receive support from lecturers and the school during their studies?

II Methods to collect primary data:

The research was conducted using quantitative research method, in which data was collected through an online survey with 80 students studying at FPT Can Tho University In which, the proportion of women accounts for 61.3%, the proportion of men accounts for 38.8%

The proportion of students in the 17th course accounts for the most 95%, the proportion of students in the 16th course accounts for 2.5%, the proportion of students in the 18th and 19th courses accounts for the same proportion rate 1.2%

III Analysis results:

1.Source that you know about FPT University:

The statistical table shows that 80 people were asked about the

source they knew about FPT Can Tho University Among them, 31 people (38.75%) knew about the school through advertising on social

networks, 30 people (37.5%) knew about the school through the website, 39 people (48.75%) knew about the school through friends

Friends, relatives and 56 people (70%) knew about the school through admission consulting Thus, admission consulting is the most popular form of access, accounting for 70% of the total number

of students Next are friends, relatives (48.75%), advertising sites,

social networks (38.75%) and websites (37.5%)

Below is some more specific analysis of the data in the statistical table:

 Admissions consulting: This is the most popular form of

access, accounting for 70% of the total student population Therefore, FPT Can Tho University needs to continue to maintain and improve the quality of admission consulting activities Specifically, the school needs to train a team of professional counselors, knowledgeable about the school and majors, and able to effectively advise and answer students' questions

 Friends and relatives: This is the second most popular source

of information that people know about FPT Can Tho University This shows that the school has a good reputation in the community However, this rate may decrease if the school does not continue to maintain and improve training quality

 Advertising on social networks: Social networking sites are

popular communication channels, attracting a large number of students to follow Therefore, FPT Can Tho University needs to

strengthen activities to promote the school's image on social

networking sites Specifically, the school needs to build

fanpages, groups, Youtube channels, to introduce the school,

majors, school activities, in a lively and attractive way

 Website: This is the fourth source of information that people

know about FPT Can Tho University This shows that the school

is building a quality website, providing complete information

about the school However, this rate is still low compared to

information sources through friends, relatives and advertising on

social networks Therefore, the school needs to continue to

improve the content and interface of the website to attract more

visitors

Based on this data, it can be seen that FPT Can Tho University needs

to continue to maintain and improve the quality of admission

consulting activities, enhance promotional activities on social

networks and websites to reach more people than In addition, the

school can also create some additional incentives for reaching out

through friends and relatives who are alumni of the school to attract

more candidates

2 Factors affecting university students' decision to choose FPT University Can Tho:

Analysis results show that factors affecting university students'

decision to choose FPT University Can Tho include:

 Training program: This is the most important factor, determining

the knowledge and skills that students will be equipped with

after graduation FPT Can Tho University provides high quality

training programs, built according to international standards, to

meet the needs of the labor market

 Facilities: FPT Can Tho University possesses modern facilities,

meeting the learning and research needs of students

creative learning environment that encourages students to

develop comprehensively

Information Technology, Business Administration and

Languages These majors have high demand for human

resources and expanded employment opportunities

3.Support from tutors and schools during the learning process:

from lecturers and the school

 About 12.5% of students have neutral opinions with support

from lecturers and schools

 About 31.25% of students are very satisfied with the support

from lecturers and the school

Survey results show that the majority of students are satisfied with

the support from lecturers and the school However, there are still

Schools need to continue to improve the quality of teaching and student support to increase student satisfaction

professional qualifications, teaching skills and teaching methods

need to spend more time advising, supporting and answering students' questions FPT University can organize extracurricular activities, clubs, and groups so that students and lecturers have the opportunity to interact, share, and bond with each other

build a professional student support service system to meet the diverse needs of students These services need to be performed quickly, promptly and effectively

Improving student satisfaction with support from faculty and schools

is an important mission of universities Implementing the above recommendations will help schools improve training quality, attract and retain students

4 Training program of FPT Can Tho University:

According to the statistical table on student satisfaction with the training program of FPT Can Tho University, it can be seen that:

 Very dissatisfied: There is 1 student (1.25%) who is very dissatisfied with the school's training program This is a very low rate, showing that most students are satisfied with the school's training quality

 Neutral: There are 27 students (33.75%) who are neutral about

the school's training program This is a high rate, showing that

some students still do not have a clear opinion about the

students highly appreciate the school's training quality

 Very satisfied: There are 9 students (11.25%) who are very

satisfied with the school's training program This is a high rate,

showing that students highly appreciate the school's training

quality

Thus, 85% of students are satisfied or very satisfied with the school's

training program This is a high rate, showing that students highly

appreciate the school's training quality

Overall, the statistics show that students highly appreciate the

training quality of FPT Can Tho University The school needs to

continue to maintain and improve training quality to better meet the

needs of students

Training of lecturers: The school needs to train lecturers to improve

the quality of teaching Lecturers need to be trained in professional

knowledge, teaching methods and communication skills

methods to match the development trend of education Schools

need to apply active teaching methods, focusing on developing

students' skills

 Increase practice and practical experience: Schools need to

increase practice and practical experience for students This will

help students apply knowledge into practice and develop soft

skills

Improving training quality will help students gain good knowledge

and skills to meet the needs of the labor market

5 Knowledge and skills equipped during the study process

In the data table above: 2 students (2.5%) rated it as unsatisfied, 22 students (27.5%) rated it as neutral, 38 students (47.5%) rated it as satisfied and 18 students (22.5%) rated it as satisfied at a very satisfactory level Thus, it can be seen that the level of satisfaction

of FPT Can Tho students with the knowledge and skills they are equipped with is relatively high

However, there are still some students who rate it as neutral or unsatisfied This shows that the school needs to continue to have solutions to improve training quality and meet the needs of students

a.Meaning:

The level of student satisfaction with the knowledge and skills provided is an important indicator reflecting the school's training quality A high level of satisfaction shows that students are equipped with knowledge and skills suitable to real needs, meeting the requirements of the labor market

To increase students' satisfaction with the knowledge and skills they are equipped with, schools need to focus on the following solutions:

 Improving teaching quality: Lecturers are an important factor determining the quality of training Therefore, schools need to focus on improving the teaching quality of lecturers, including professional knowledge, teaching methods and pedagogical skills

more in practice and experience activities to apply knowledge and skills into practice This will help students consolidate their knowledge, skills and develop necessary soft skills

need to create a friendly and supportive learning environment

so that students can maximize their abilities A friendly learning
