1.1.2.1 Railway market in VietNam

Intermodal rail is being considered as a form of transport suitable for China'sepidemic prevention and control conditions because there is little contact betweenpeople, and at the same time, it can transport a much larger amount of goods thanroad.

In 2021, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) has also put into operation anew service product, which is an international container train that runs directly toEurope Figures from the Vietnam Railways Corporation show that In the firstquarter of 2022, international freight traffic increased by 40% compared to the sameperiod in 2021.

The international rail freight route from Vietnam to European countries, especially the United Kingdom, has had a remarkable growth rate Representativesof railway logistics enterprises said that from mid-2021 to 2022, goods on this routesometimes increased by 200% over the same period.

After nearly 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations, the strategicpartnership between Vietnam and the UK has continuously grown and developedpositively Currently, the UK has become the 3rd largest trading partner of Vietnamin Europe and the 9th partner of Vietnam to the world.

Road transport combined with railway (2R)

15

Trang 17

The model of road transport using highly flexible vehicles, which are cars, combined with railways, using trains with large loads (Road - Rail): This is acombination of mobility With the safety, speed and large load of iron transport, the2R model is currently being used a lot in Vietnam:

In this method, the transport businessmen pack the goods in trailers that arebrought back to the station by cars through trailers called tractors.

At the station, the trailers are pulled onto the wagons and transported to thearrival station When reaching the destination, the transport operator uses tractors topull the trailers down and uses auto transport to deliver them to the destination.

Road transport combined with air (R-A)

The model of road transport using highly flexible vehicles, which are cars, combined with air transport using aircraft with high safety, short transportation timeover long distances (Road - Air ): It is used to combine the advantages ofautomobile transport and air transport The RA model combines the versatility of acar with the length of an airplane, also known as pick up and delivery:

According to this method, transport traders use cars to gather goods to airportsor from airports to deliver goods to other locations.

Car transport is carried out at the beginning and the end of the transportationprocess, with high flexibility, meeting the collection and concentration of goods tothe hub of the airport.

Air transport activities are carried out as intermediaries for transporting goodsin service of inter-provincial long-distance routes with airports and airports.

Road transport combined with sea, inland waterways (RIS)

Model of road transport using highly flexible means of car is combined withsea/inland waterway transport using aircraft with high safety, short transportationtime Road (Road - Air) (Road - Air): It is used to combine the advantages ofautomobile transport and air transport The RA model combines the versatility of acar with the length of an airplane, or pick up and delivery Transport traders use carsto gather goods to airports or from airports to deliver goods at other locations:
