Honestly, students in general and students at FFL of IUH in particular who have to frequently make many presentations for the regular test during their course, but they not have experience and knowledge of the presentation skills Therefore, they faced many obstacles in applying body language when presenting, which causes disadvantages to the result of the presentations For this reason, the researchers conducted the study to discover the obstacles, besides also the desire to improve as well as find out some ways to overcome this situation, which aims to help students become better in making presentations During the process of carrying out the study, the researchers used both the quantity and quality methods in order to find the difficulties which the studentsmajor at FFL have met when using body language to make the presentations through the survey on Google form online From that, the researchers also indicated the suitable solutions to improve and overcome these problems which are based on the participants’ answers Through the research, the researchers hope that, the FFL’s students can improve and overcome the obstacles and become more and more fluent and easily use body language in their presentations so that the presentations have the best result Keywords: Body language, Difficulties, English- major students, Presentations ACKNOWLEDGEMENT During the process of use the variety of soft skills and body language in making presentation so that the result of presentation becomes better The last difficulty, because the Coronavirus- 19 epidemic is still protracted and the situation is getting more and more complicated Hence, the researcher’s team could not go to school to conduct survey by qualitative method by communicating with FFL’s students Furthermore, because of Covid- 19 pandemic that the researchers could not discuss with the team by the direct meet, the researcher’s team have to meet and exchange our ideas online through Messenger or Zoom meeting Thus, the researchers faced many difficulties in communication and discuss ideas, these were the notions of the study might be not deep and persuade 5.3 Recommendations Through the study, the researchers can recommend some ideas for the teachers, students and the further researchers if they also conduct the same study On the one hand, for the teachers, we desire that, the teachers should give the students to learn public speaking before the speaking subjects 1,2& because this subject has many tips associated with body language skills, so if learning before, the students can clearer know and easier use the skills in making presentations in public speaking Besides that, the teachers should also give feedback more than after the presentations ended so that the students recognized the mistakes or shortcomings in their presentation, from that they can overcome or avoid the shortcomings So the result of their presentations will become better and more perfective in the future On the other hand, for the students, the researchers thought that, students should have good prepare before their presentations from contents to the aids and soft skills so that they can be more confident and professional Furthermore, they also need to careful listen to the teachers’ feedback and recommendations to find the ways to improve and overcome for the best results for the next presentations Especially, for future subjects, if possible, they should study about non- verbal instead of body language to the result of study can larger and deeper Besides that, the further researchers can also combine both quantity and quality with a rate of 50:50 to ensure the most effective and perfective study Lastly, we desire to expand the methods research according to the modern styles (if the Covid- 19 pandemic ended) through the ways of creating Google form online after connecting with the QR code by the link and going to the classes give students to so that the researchers can not only easy to analyze data, but also explain information in Questionnaires and observe the participants to the survey exactly and effectively Supervisor: Ho Thi Hien, M.A Page 42 Submitted by:
