Long Thanh Expressway Project Package A5 Civil Works Km 32+450 to Km 35+900 I PRESERVATION OF PROPERTY Existing highways, improvements, facilities, adjacent property, utilities, services, and trees and plants designated for preservation shall be protected from injury or damage The clearing and grubbing shall comprise the removal and disposal of material within the construction limits including but not limited to all vegetation and debris, and the removal of top soil, except where objects or areas are designated to remain in place or are to be removed in accordance with other Specifications sections This work shall include the protection and preservation of all areas and objects designated to remain The limits of the work and objects to be preserved are defined on the drawings Where required the Engineer will confirm the limits of work and the designation of objects to remain All disposal shall be to an approved waste disposal site provided by the Contractor The Contractor will be responsible for the protection and routine maintenance of existing shrubs, trees and grassed areas designated to remain and for all objects designated to remain On completion of the Works these areas and objects will be returned to the Employer in the same condition they were in prior to the start of the Works Any damage due directly or indirectly to the Contractor's operations shall be made good at its own expense II CLEARING AND GRUBBING Setting out and staking of each cross section as the approved construction method statement, mark the locations, limiting the areas to clear trees, cut grasses, excavate roots of trees, remove away debris and then submit the Engineer for approval before conducting the next work The clearing and grubbing shall consist of clearing the designated areas of all trees, down timber, snags, vegetation, rubbish and objectionable material and shall include grubbing stumps and roots and disposing of all material resulting from the clearing or grubbing It shall also include the demolition removal and disposal of structures that obtrude into or encroach upon or obstruct the work, except where provided for otherwise Also included in this work shall be the removal of loose pavement material, road signs, right-of-way markers, kilometre stones, guide posts and all other incidentals within the limits of construction Using the measures to ensure effective safety and warnings for the areas of construction and arrange lights at night if necessary PHUONG THANH TRANCONSIN GMS Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Project Package A5 Civil Works Km 32+450 to Km 35+900 In areas of embankment all stumps and roots shall be removed to a depth at least 50 cm below the original ground surface and at least 80 cm below the bottom of the lowest pavement layer In areas of cut, al stumps and roots shall be removed to a depth of not less than 50 cm below the finished subgrade level All pits, channels and ditches shall be cleaned of unsuitable material All voids left after clearing and grubbing shall be filled with suitable compacted material III DISPOSAL OF CLEARED MATERIAL Saleable timber shall be neatly stored in an approved accessible location as directed and shall be trimmed and stacked in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate Government agency The Contractor shall not use un-saleable timber or saleable timber All timber, brush, stumps, roots, logs, and other refuse from the clearing and grubbing operation and topsoil not required for re-use shall be disposed to an approved waste site provided by the Contractor The site shall be outside of the right of way No accumulation of debris shall remain and the right of way and adjacent areas shall be left in a neat and tidy condition IV MAIN EQUIPMENTS Main equipments include: Equipments Units Quantity Bulldozer ≥ 110 HP nos 03 Excavator 1,2m3 Nos Dump Truck ≥10 tons nos 12 Laboratory Lab Survey Equipments: -
